Hey Craig, awesome job with you haf932! I saw all your videos, I just have a doubt about fan painting..
I have a haf922, and I decided to mod it a bit, I wanted to start with fan painting! Do you think I will be ok if i paint directly the fan without using a primer or something like that? I bought an acrilic UV reactive paint, but i have no idea if that will stick on the fan
As for the fan painting, I'd always recommend Primer as it gives the paint to stick to. You could always try your UV paint on one first, use some fine emery paper to scuff the blades a little to give the paint something to hold on to. Not taking responsibility if it doesn't work tho ;)
Very nice job! Am looking to get 2 fans for my Mega Shadow and these are one of the fans I may choose! Would have to paint red to match my theme - the take apart is a help!
yes the other side is still gray, simple because I wouldnt see it. others have painted both sides tho. Just be sure to mask off the spindle section
