i think they could of used that paper and made money out of it everyone would of had enough money to get free health care with all that paper they used LMAO
Congrats! Social Security will pay out more this year than they will take in. This was not suppose to happed until 2016. Millions of Americans have lost everything we own for one reason - we lost our jobs. While we pleaded with you to work with the private sector to find ways to create jobs, you ignored us - you endlessly repeated HC sob stories. You were heck bent on "Making History" by passing Health Care rather than concentrating on what we really want- A JOB!!!! You must be so proud.
Torte Reform: Punitive damages are damages that penalize the offending party. The lawyer or the victim of malpractice does not earn punitive damages. Punitive damages are a deterrent for the offending party to stop the practice that caused damage. Punitive damages should be limited and when deemed necessary the money should go to more constructive use. For instance it could go toward providing care to the uninsured.
That's right, SLOW DOWN and think about what you are doing! This bill will impact our economy for decades if not generations.
Image where we'd be today if back in 1999 President Clinton stopped to think before signing the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. This bill eased underwriting standards for mortgages and in effect twisted the arms of lenders to provide mortgages to unqualified individuals. Wed have avoided the second largest financial meltdown in history.
Torte reform is all that is needed. Torte reform will increase the number of people willing to take on the risks of entering the medical profession. More doctors will mean cheaper and more available care. Why isnt this in the bill? This party is deep into the pockets of the Torte lawyers!
How many Americans will loose their jobs along with their health insurance when this trillion-dollar bill is passed and taxes are raised to pay for it? The decision to socialize (Reform) medical care is entirely based on the agenda of one party. This level of arrogance has never been achieved in American politics. The vast majority of Americans are happy with their medical care. This bill will result in fewer doctors, higher medical costs and substantially lower quality care.
Neither Republican nor Democrat cares about any of you, all you are to them is a meal ticket. The sooner thats realized the sooner we can stop bickering amongst ourselves, and turn them back to the public servants there supposed to be, there not our leaders, there supposed to be our voice not that of special interest nor themselves. United we stand, divided we fall. Its to bad they don't teach patriotism in schools any more.
And we hope you continue to enjoy the rape of Torte lawyers who contribute more to the sky rocketing healthcare costs than any other factor in our economy.
The only bill they actually came up with at the last minute didn't address the "pre-existing condition" problem & only covered an additional 3 million citizens. It didn't reduce the deficit as much as the House bill & it was just a list of some half-measures they could have taken when they were in power.
As for their plan to "let insur. co.'s compete across state lines", the "exchange" set up by the House & Senate bills in effect do allow cross state competition.
All you have to do is take a look at the videos posted by Mitch McConnell under the "RepublicanLeader." There's a number of videos on the subject and even a video talking about the McCain ammendment. Also look at some of the older videos posted on the "EricCantor" channel.
Democrats have been claiming from the start that Republicans don't have an alternative, despite the fact that I've seen at least three by now. This guy had to have seen something or he's just out of touch of reality.
So I assume by that same token you'll hold Democrats responsible when they've bogged down Health care with their regulations? Or will you hold them responsible when the public option depletes medical resources to the point where needed resources are no longer available?

Wow. This guy is one of the worst liars I've seen so far. He ought to know by now that Republicans have presented alternatives time and time again.

Only if you believe the GOP.

The Republicans had 8 years to change the system. They failed and did nothing. Now it's time for some REAL Leadership on this issue.
