I find it sad that a country as powerful and rich as ours doesn't guarantee health care to every citizen. Instead of bombing children in Iraq and having military bases in some of the most advanced countries in the world such as Japan and Germany, why don't we use that money to help fund universal health care?

I'll agree with shutting down some of our military bases, but I say we should cut government spending across the board and give more Americans tax breaks. Let's cut 20% of the federal budget.

The bottom 40% or so of wage earners pay no income tax now. Just how long will 'the rich' be able to be the only people who pay income tax?  How long before they stop working as much, only to see an ever-increasing share of it stolen by the government? Look up 'opportunity cost'.

I'm from Australia, and we have a system called "Medicare" which is payed for by the government allows all citizens and some visitors to receive affordable health care. In our country Private health care is for rich people and Medicare is for the rest. Its not perfect but its pretty good. I guess what I'm trying to say is "Catch Up America"!!!!.
