Quick question: I can't find it in manual... When you edit velocities, you dont click on the vertical bar, you click in the free space... it looks easier that clicking on the bars... what's the shortcut for that? thx
@shomynik Ah thank you! Well, it seems as it is a video transmission problem or so. I am basically just moving those events up and and down with the mouse. Seems like I am a bit too fast for the frames :) So to make it short, nothing special
@alexpfefferdotnet haha, yes alex, you are very fast :) ...I m not sure you understood me... To sum it up: When you change velocities, do you click on the vertical bar and move mouse up/down? Or you click on the side of it, close to it? Beacuse on vertical bars 4-8 you dont click on it at all haha... sry if it is realy frame problem but it's just I cant belive it LOL cheers!!! :)
@shomynik Oh sorry, got ya! ... I was actually not gripping the events exactly, but kinda swiped over them ... meaning, pressing the mouse button and just move over the velocity events I want to change.
That's what I was trying to say before. Hope this clarifies it?! :)
@alexpfefferdotnet I guess it is frame rate problem than lol XD cause, there is defenitly missing frames haha... well, Alex Flash :), if you ever, beside this speed magic, develop mind control, let us know :))) ... in your info tab maybe XDDD
Hello Alex, good tutorial, but i have a question: you don't find this library to be to full of reverb? There is a way to attenuate that, besides dropping the sustain?
@ANashuu Hey and thanks. To be honest I never had the impression of too much reverb going on with the Dhol library. To me it is part of the "mighty" sound. So just in case I need less reverb or more intimate stuff I simply use something else or drop the velocity. During all my working years I never had to do dry epic sounding percussions :)
Hey jazzmatik, if you manually play notes with a keyboard into the sequencer they are to at least 99% not on the exact beat. With the quantizing option which every sequencer has you can either bring the notes exactly on the 4th, 8th, 16th notes etc. ... or bring them more close while leaving some random/human factor to them.
Alex, I want to say that I am really happy you make this vids. Thank you, I seriously appreciate that you use some of your time to make these vids, to explain some tricks for the starters, thank you again Alex! Keep on the GOOD WORK!
I am so happy I found this! I am purchasing Stormdrum 2 and Symphonic gold in a bit and this was one of the best videos I have seen for a tutorial. The only difference is I have using FL Studio 9 to compose music on. You are awesome Alex!! Amazing!
thx uboy, would be a thing to consider. however i have lots of work going on and i just do those tuts in my sparetime ... it is just stuff which happens and i think is interesting. best thing to learn about string arrangements tho is to listen to looooots of scores and if you have a chance analyze the score on sheet pater (if available)
Great video Alex :)

Thanks a lot dream431ca, I seriously appreciate!
Good luck and remember, it is not the sequencer which is doing the music - it is the guy sitting in front of the monitor! :)
