best track was tune about the Tay Bridge disaster.... train crossing bridge, bridge collapse, all die! True story, awesome that the picked this subject.. R.I.P
@rad6666 I thought his name was Holland, but Proctor rings a bell. I knew and worked with him from about 1989 to 1993, but I don't have anything in my old address books and I lost touch with him a long time ago, more's the pity. If anyone knows where he is or what he's doing, I'd like to get in touch again and he was a brilliant guitarist, that's for sure.
@umbrasilurum Hey i love this band just wonderd if or when they called it a day? did they ever do anything after spear of destiny? i whould really appreciate if u cud give me some info man..
This has to be one of the best songs ever, there is so much feeling and humanity to it, kirk you are the best!!!!!!!!! keep up the good work!!!! going to one of his concerts soon, gonna be amazing!!!!!! cant wait!!!!!
oh my gosh ... going back 20 yrs or so ... seen SPD in Liverpool Royal Court ... fab then & seeing this brings that whole time wonderful era back for me. One Eyed Jacks great album I have it on vinal in my old record box. My be 40 in 3 weeks but still feel the girl I was then when I hear this ... Kirk still think your the man !!! (despite those nasty rumours by BG !) xx
i only got the link between theatre of hate and spear of destiny through youtube.always liked their music so thanks YT for educating me.Long Live Youtube.
God I loved this band and its lead singer. I got a B for copying a picture of Kirk Brandon in my Art GCSE. Still listen to them and am now playing them to my 3 year old!!
Wow Youtube is great for looking up all this rare footage. I saw Spear in Bristol UK in the mid 80'S around the same time as New Model Army. What was strange is that I live in Australia where at the time I hadn't heard of them until I visited Bristol (my birth place) and got right into them. Great song! Ado
love this song, remember seeing this on top of the pops, '87 i think. I guess for the time they were quite a weird band, now i've heard it again i'm gonna make it my mission to learn the guitar to it!
Amazing to see all these Spear videos up... last time I looked I could find nothing but that sodding PC game. These are fantastic, thanks for posting them up

@umbrasilurum I read guitarist Mick Procter is currently doing an album with NATO 8 which should be out start of next year.
I think the 'holland' bit was some kind of pseudo name he sometimes worked under

LIBERATOR, ultimate song ever recorded.
YOUNG MEN, next best ever
ATTICA, next after that.

Sound of a generation.

Every time they played the Square in Harlow they were awesome and Kirk is a top bloke, very chatty with the fans and down to earth.
Great song , but i preferred the Album Religion.
