  • He said nothing about flat lining at all. He never died

  • What I like about this guy is that he comes across refreshingly genuine.

  • @TheMessianicTruth your right he wont.. cause he will be dead..

  • @markhajones

I think you're onto something there. I believe that is true.

  • If God did not exist, why would one care if they lived? Why would you "thank goodness?" In the scope of everything in this universe, why on earth would there be one reason to get up in the morning, or care to be good?

  • I think from the time you die until Jesus comes again, it will bd instant. Any when your about to die I think god nurtures you and makes you feel loved, and let's you know that everything will be fine :) that's what I think. I used to be worried about not going to heaven, like if I wasn't a good enough person to 'get in'. I'm praying now because I want to :)

  • So what, you didn't die for over seven minutes, so it's rational that you would not leave your body, but nearly millions of people have genuinely left their body, and have gone to the other side of the vail. Many atheists have done so, and come back dramatically changed, and become very strong in their faith and relationship with God. Maybe you didn't have a near death experience because you work so hard to disprove God, that God did not feel you were worthy of the experience! May you find t

  • @TheWayandWordofLife - One word: Dimethyltryptamine (aka DMT)

There is no need for a supernatural explanation, 'near-death' can create an array of physiological changes in the body. One suggestion is that the body releases large amounts of the psychoactive drug DMT, which is responsible for the 'outer body' experiences for people who have had these 'near death' experiences.

So I dispute your claim that people have genuinely left their bodies. It's all in the mind, like most of our ideas.

  • The thing is that he didn't have a near death experience because he wasn't dead they operated on him

  • I hate it when someone survives an operation and says "Thank God". How utterly ungrateful and egotistic. I guess the skill of the doctors had nothing to do with it, and as if they're so very special that God would intervene to save their life, but happily do nothing while a hundred thousand die in a tsunami. I guess God didnt like those people as much. Then again, maybe so. God is a total dick according to the Bible, so I wouldnt put that past him.

  • @DeusExAstra i'll agree with you that the "god" of the bible is a total dick.but, you probably also know that was just stupid primitive men trying to set laws basically.i had actual hate for god if he existed(the biblical god),for that simple fact..being a jealous,childish,genocidal..etc.. type god.i'm guessing your athiest,i was..now i don't really have a title, not even agnostic..not sure there is a title. anyway, you should check out a vid (nanci danison's afterlife experience)...

  • @DeusExAstra what if it was a "god" or source..or whatever, energy i guess...that was behind everything? no arguements..just want another person similar to my thoughts to give me an idea of what they thought of that video.evolution would still make sense, book gods are still man made shit...just a source that is non-judging.we would all be god essentially, kinda hard to grasp..makes the most sense to me. all my friends are christian,so it's pointless to ask them..or u can tell me to fuck off..lol

  • One has to wonder how close to death he actually was as it appears that those with the purported near death experiences of a tunnel, light, etc. have actually been declared clinically dead with no brain waves, etc. His medical staff acted very quickly on his behalf. Must have been a great hospital.

  • I'm grateful I don't know this jerk.

  • @cunnidvd And im greatful that i dont know you. Calling some1 a jerk that you dont know is really pathetic. You must be christian...

  • @ThulinMartin Likewise I'm sure. No not a christian. But it does sound as if you have judged christians as I have judged this jerk and yourself.

  • @cunnidvd touché... although i wish to claim that I have a better base of judging christians then u have dan dennett.... he is a great man...

  • @ThulinMartin You're right I don't even really know what he meant by what he said. I was very wrong to judge this man that I know little about and I misjudged you as well. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

  • @cunnidvd :) have a nice day....:)

  • I'm grateful to God.

  • What unsympathetic hatemongers rates this down? Here's a man who almost died and is happy he didn't. He's not giving an argument - he just speaks of a personal tragedy that was luckily avoided with the help of fellow human beings. The only reason to dislike that is if you hold an ideological idea higher than the well-being of your neighbour, and want him to die for challenging it. Humaneness is rarely highest priority for dogmatics, but this is little short of militant fundamentalism.

  • @Blodhosta A vote bot hit my videos a year ago.

  • @silverstream314 Yeah, I noticed that when I checked out more of the videos. A cyber attack by religious terrorists. ;)

But seriously, it's pretty bad behaviour either way. Thanks for uploading. It's appreciated.

  • @Blodhosta They're people who expected something different...Angie Fenimore, another NDEer just said today, all I can tell you is what I experienced...she was responding to someone who said, well, here's what happened to me. The thing is, she was right--we have to take Dennett at his word, not expect what we want to hear--at the same time, even though Dennett was near death, NDE generally refers to people who had a conscious experience at a time when their vital signs say they shouldnt--not this

  • @markhajones YES YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!!!!!

  • NDE's are a joke. Just because you do not have the answer for an experience, it does not mean that your default assumptions are valid. NDE's are caused by brain. FACT. In the next decade we will be able to explain why these people saw what they saw, It will no longer be a "mystery."

  • @JinxOz what's even funnier is the fact I have died for 3 minutes and was revived by doctors and I had absolutely no religious experience at all

  • @PoketsOfagenius :: And where do we find this description of your NDE?

  • He didn't have an NDE but he WILL meet God one of these days and he had better prepare now while there is still time. I have had several surgeries and I have never had an NDE but I am not sorry for that. I do not want to die before my time but I am not afraid of death because I know where I am going. Jesus Christ is Lord! Maranatha!

  • @ljackso I'm glad you posted "Jesus Christ is Lord" because we ALL know God reads Youtube comments.

  • @VvLestatvV : You read it. God knows everything past, present a d future. God bless.

  • @ljackso why would god punish us for using our brains?!

  • @hardinmichael1981: I never said God punishes us for using our brains! God said to test every spirit to see if it is of God. We can question all we want to. What we are not to do is call God a liar and reject His Son Yeshua.

  • @ljackso why the hell not?!

  • @hardinmichael1981: Why not what? Call God a liar and reject the sacrifice of His son Yeshua? If that is your question you are in more trouble than I can help you with. May God have mercy on you soul.

  • @ljackso since I can't ask god I'lll ask you: why?

  • @markhajones Ya, thank God for what... making our planet hold life and float perfectly in the middle of space in order to to do so, plants to grow, hearts to beat, what a looser that God is.

  • @Godloveyouallthetime what makes you think that god did all of that?

  • Its understadable that he feels grateful. But this 'goodness', sadly may comsume the rest of life on the planet. We all want to survive and if we do, then ultimately the state of the planet may not be in a position to offer us the luxury of choice. In spite of our goodness.

  • Every experience is different . Some years ago I was in a very bad car accident , and I could recall my second grade teacher . I had not seen her in some twenty odd years ,but during the accident there she was in my consciousness clear as can be .

  • Interesting. She must have quite the impact on you.

  • It was brilliant to hear about a near death experience from someone that is actually in touch with reality :)

  • That's exactly what I thought ;)
