  • I've studied and collected ancient Roman coins for over 25 years. Most ARE NOT "quite rare". Most that are loose and in the acidic ground are lumps of metal with no details, at all. A low grade Roman bronze coin WITH details can be had for a couple bucks. If you want a rare Roman coin, buy it at auction from a reputable dealer...
