I'm glad people agree with her. Good to make a video about it, let her know shes not alone. and ignore the nasty comments. Some people have nothing to live for, nothing to hang onto but their "faith" and beliefs, and since people are starting to not be very religious anymore, they panic and take it out on whoever they can. Anything that doesnt fit inside the concepts of their little book is automatically wrong. But let them talk their crap.

I'm sorry, but marrying your DOG is nowhere NEAR the same as marrying someone who you truly love with all your heart, albeit if they are of the same sex as you. I can't believe you would even make that connection. That's horrible. How is it that someone is putting their "be" on you by getting married? Are straight people doing that by marrying? No. So how are same-sex couples? Just please, don't profile human beings, no matter what their life style preference, as ANIMALS. That's just heinous.

I don't know much about american politics or anything but i know the amount of stigma involved in NZ's GBLT society has been reduced so much thanks to youth groups altho it is still prevalant. Tolerance is indiffernt which is fine but unfortunately when it comes to "gay" there arent many indifferent people.

Personally, I find spiritual slander such as "Go to Hell" more offensive than sexual slander like "Screw You". It depends on each person, but that's how I feel because I value my relationship with God over any type of relationships with people I may have.
I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything. But I am concerned about keeping marriage between a man and a woman. If marriage changes to same-sex, then what's next? Father-daughter? Man-Dog? Sister-Sister? This is what I forsee, unfort.

Well, it's true. Not that long ago it was a huge issue for a white woman to marry a black man. Back then it was an "affront to marriage", just like gay marriage is described by some people today. Now, for the most part, interracial couples are no big deal. I live down the street from one, and they've never had any problems. Hopefully this trend will continue and in a few years gay marriage won't be a problem either. That is, if people like mle011 shut up.

As I posted in Kicesie, that's the French situation. It's called the Pacs. However there's a fairly active group of Gays that are unsatisfied, and put pressure during elections and want it called marriage with no difference.
This aggressive attitude proves the goal is not "same rights" but "rewrite the terminology".
So it is needed to be made clear by law, that apart the financial advantages and obligations between each other, marriage and what is to be called else, ARE DIFFERENT.

You made some really great points. I especially liked how your mentioned society's overall immaturity with the subject...it's something that people rarely bring up because most of us are immature for such unwarranted reasons.
I know, but that's just a minimum to seek from the people with the least flexible beliefs (least loving?). I'm not as idealistic as I was 10 years ago, but it's still worth striving for wider understanding of issues like this so that lots of people can become accepting, or better, of differences.
