Although a good solid player, in my view Fitzgerald is just too limited.
While I'm sure you have a valid starting point to make such statements, I think you've forgotten a few things: Leinster finished above wasps in the pools (2 times winners) beat the second best English team in their own house (Quins), Hammered Munster, the holders and 2 times winners and won their first Cup, first go beating 5th time finalists and 2 time winners Leicester. Sorry but no Ulster player from '99 onwards has anything like what Leinster have today. Good luck to ya :)

Tommy Bowe had a better Lions tour... Fitzgerald did nothing outstanding, just played with no real imagination... I support Munster, and I would agree that Earls didnt have a great tour but I think there is great promise for him, especially after seeing his sidestep against the Emerging Springboks to get the try while he was in a position that he does not usually play...
I must admit I've liked the look of Earls all season but he looked badly exposed in this game missed a few tackles. He just walked out of the one here Fitzgerald made it looke easy. you would worry about him in SA. but the tour will probably be the making of him
I reckon since Munster didn't have to do much defending this season, it escaped the Lion's selectors' notice that Keith Earls can't tackle. He'll be up against Habana in a few games in RSA. He'd want to get started practicing.

I must admit I've liked the look of Earls all season but he looked badly exposed in this game missed a few tackles. He just walked out of the one here Fitzgerald made it looke easy. you would worry about him in SA. but the tour will probably be the making of him
