@Zildjiandrummer1000 - No mics at all. Whatever the internal mic is in the cheap Panasonic miniDV video camera I had. Did a pretty good job picking up the sound huh? =)

@drums4lifepeart - The camera I used to shoot this vid was a Panasonic miniDV camera for like $160. So it records to little tapes. I don't recommend the format. Check out the little digital cameras like the FlipHD (which I now have) and the equivalent stuff from Kodak and others. Much better quality visual and audio and all is stored on internal memory! Just all around better buys.

@wowdude22 - Hi there and thanks for your kind words! Sorry to take so long to respond! I can't say enough about the Shure E2c's. The noise canceling is perfect especially in the setting I'm using them. They block out all the penetrating highs of the drums and let me hear the details while I'm playing. Perfect for me. Hope this helps!

@Adiaf8oros - Appreciate it man, but I've got protection. =) I use in-ear monitors. They are like powerful earbuds with sound cancellation. So I am protected from the drums loudness and yet the music can still get in my ears. Perfect. You should try it. Look up "Shure E2c".

Here's a pretty irregular question; What weight sticks do you use? I've usually gone with a 5A, but I prefer em lighter

@flashpro62 - Hey man. I love that question. I use Vic Firth Terry Bozzio signature sticks. Not because I like him but because of the length and weight. They are a little longer than most sticks and about a 5A width. The are relatively heavy for there width which is what I like. Gives a lot of power. Check them out.

@Ryankeepsthebeat - It is higher than most but I don't think it's as high as so many people think. I want my knees to be a little more than 90 degrees. This makes it much easier to use your feet. You conserve a lot of energy. Check out my "influences" section on my page and look those drummers up. They are all that way.

You may can buy a new china cymbal: that is way cheaper than a new ride and it is a really fun thing. it was only about $30 and it gives a great sound. just don't buy the big ones, you will hear only that cymbal of you play it xD. Mine is about 9".
