Megadeth does something special that the rest of the big 4 barely does: Write fucking sick compositions of like 25 riffs following eachother fucking perfect. Most songs of Peace Sells dont even have a chorus, Dave was a musical mastermind. Bands like Dream Theater and Death started doing that too in the 90s but Dave was very early with that stuff. Thats what I like about 'em, Dave is the best technical songwriter of the big 4, + he had VERY skilled bandmates in the 80s/90s

You can't blame Mustaine too much for all. First of all, he learned playing guitar by himself, so he isn't schooled or whatsoever. Second, he was forced to do the vocals after failing to succeed to find a proper vocalist. And taken the fact that his youth was pretty heavy it's understandable he got addicted, and once you're set, you won't be stopping soon.
