  • le dernier chant est manifique prestation

  • Does anyone know in what year this movie being filmed? My guess is probably either in the late 1950 or in the early 60s. It is because Walter Tautchnig (Director) is still very young.

I love the quality of the 60s, 70s and the 80s. We can tell the big difference. By the way, I do have the audio CD in most of these Christmas carols.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful film. It is so great.

  • Filmed in 1995. Mr. Tautching is dead this year.

  • Dr. Walter Tautschnig just passed away on October 25, 2008. It is 3 days ago of my message here since today is October 28, 2008.

See posting on May 5 or so if I remember right. That was the date I sent my sincere condolence to the lost of Dr. Eugen Jesser. Dr. Jesser was a President of the WSK until early May of this year when he said good bye to all of us.

  • In the web site for WSK It's 26 october Melvin. Yes, with him a great period for WSK.

  • The gentleman you're referring to is Walter Tautshnig Jr. who for a while held the job that his father held.

  • 1995. Surprising,isn't it?

  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Nice music and nice video.

Thank you so much for uploading this movie.

    Vielen Danke.

  • Lovely! Does anyone know the name of the song they are rehearsing at the beginning?

  • Maybe It's 'O du Frohliche'

  • Well, I don't think so, because I know that one!

  • Believe it or not, it is "O du fröhliche, o du selige gnadenbringende Weihnachtszeit". The lyrics are written from Joh.Falk (1768-1826), the melody comes from Sizilian.

  • You're quite right, the first song is O du fröhliche. I didn't make it clear, I meant the song after that which they are rehearsing with their teacher. Sorry!

  • It's "O Heiland reiß' die Himmel auf"

  • Thank you for this precision, appreciat.

  • Thank you very much! It's a beautiful song and very old, it seems.

  • It's very famous and it's defently called "O du Fröhliche" It's one of the best known christmas songs in austria. You can get it on iTunes if you like to have it.

  • So beautiful...
