This doll is really not so odd. My four year old daughter pretends to nurse her baby dolls all the time. She has a baby sister who nurses. This is a normal and healthy part of life. This doll should not be controversial!

Breastfeeding is NATURAL yes, but a learnt skill. It is hard to get it right, it takes time and practice. That is unrelated to the doll however.

Children mimic their parents behaviors.

I Agree with Broyomama, Breast feeding adults need not feel ashamed at all! I breast feed when my baby is hungry and i get some pretty weird looks covered or not

How anyone can object to breastfeeding - anywhere, covered or uncovered, etc. - is beyond my ability to understand. Women should feel perfectly free to nurse anywhere they wish to, and whether they cover up or not should not make a difference to anyone.

I think maybe you didn't watch this entire video. I'm fine with breastfeeding. Hell, my son was breastfed. I don't even really care if it's in public or not. Babies need to be fed.

wow... Dan touchy subject... I agree that it is awkward but I think that breast feeding is seen a lot more in public in Europe so it isn't as odd as it could be, but yeah I wont be purchasing baby glutton for my daughters (fictional as they are) any time soon.

Is it any weirder than a military doll for boys ( who shall remain nameless) that comes equipped witha machine gun and a hand grenade? Breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world and is only treated as abnormal and sexual in the "forward-thinking" United States. What on earth makes you think that a girl would automatically know how to breastfeed when all she has seen and pretended all her life is bottlefeeding? Yes, it's maternal, yes it's natural, yes it's instinctive. But when people like you make it seem like something creepy, weird or gross, that becomes the overriding influence on children. If a girl pretending to breastfeed is weird or sexual, then a girl pretending to bottlefeed is the equivalent of playing with a dildo.

Im a girl, and once you get pregnant or think about getting pregnant, yes you do just know...... I was tought some but not heavily. and Im sorry but pretending to use a bottle does not = playing with a dildo, because no one said it was odd for any type of sexual reason. IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE SEXUAL TO BE STRANGE!! using a tampon is natural too and not sexual at all but im not gonna teach my young child how to do it!
