  • Wow amazing but needs a little polishing :)

  • 3 envious people didn't like that XD

  • nice one!

  • is it only me ...or its a lil off timing ???

  • Obviously you have seen Gavin live. I saw the incident tour with my dad and Gavin just tore it up man. But I gotta give you props dude. That shit is hard to perfect

  • Wow

  • how long have you been playing ?

  • wow, you're left-handed... that's just wrong, mate.

  • Good job man, much respect offered here!

  • great cover, mad drum skills!

  • Tough song to cover. Good job man!

  • Serious Respect man!

  • Nice work on the fills!

  • Bass drum is off a lot, otherwise decent job. Hard song :)

  • Your drums sounds awesome, how you recorded this?

  • @RianAnimator Thanks man! One mic on the bass drum, two mics coming from left and right into the toms and one mic on the snare. The 4 mics go straight into an desk which then goes into my Cubase recording software. I record and mix that then on Cubase, that's about it! =]

  • Very very very very good performance Barry!

  • @danieleskyline Thank you very much! Appreciate it! =]

  • Haha feeling blessed for named Wilson :P ?

  • @Op3thiangr It'd be better if it was Harrison =]

  • @PhantomMaster

    Barry Harrison?

    Sounds very cool and iconic.

    Nice playing by the way.

    Sounds great. :)

  • Not too great of a kit, however your a fantastic drummer

  • @curlysheepishbas No need to be a smart aleck, I was just complimenting his cover.

  • your good man just start working on technique i notices you open your left hand for doubles which isnt bad but there are much cleaner ways to do doubles

  • @jessietigres Ya I do that out of bad habit, I know most people get their doubles goin' without such a loose grip but I kept doing it my way until I got used to it so I'll probably just stick it haha...And cheers, thanks for watching!

  • In how many takes was this done? From one angle you have a lot of duct tape on your snare and from the other you do not.

  • @Niekpas Check out my reply to another guy who asked that in the Uploaders Comments section and I explain it!

  • Perfect form and technique, especially during the breakdown! very solid cover, I'm sure Gavin Harrison would be proud if he watched this :)

  • Hey man, good job. Although the ghost notes are not quit what you were playing in groove.

  • @Zildjian232 Thanks man! I thought I got them right but I could never fully make out how frequently they were used or if I missed some here and there

  • That was extremely impressive! This song is beastly. You rock!

  • @Shinsen88 Cheers! Appreciate it!

  • Holy shit dude! That seems very difficult but you freakin' nailed it!

  • @chiken420 Thanks!! Ya its very tough, took me ages to perfect the groove but luckily once you do its plain sailing from there, just lots of variations to memorize!

  • I see you aced it just like I said =P Great job man!

  • @paulgillard7 Haha, thanks!

  • omg. OMG. !!!!

yesterday, when i read you were going to upload a porcupine tree cover i thought well that's going to be interesting, but it's certainly not going to be bonnie the cat. that would just be too f***ing difficult.

    ...

i am not even a drummer myself, but i have soooo much respect for you right now.

    GREAT JOB!!!

  • @Cosinus02 Wow, thank you so much for that!! I figured if I'm gonna cover a beast like Gavin Harrison it wouldn't be right to find something more simplistic and take the easy option haha, had to go all out!!

  • Is your bass drum muffled? If so, how do you muffle it? I'm tired of my bass drum sounding like a big ass floor tom XD

  • @Rolynpwns Hmm not sure what you mean, do you mean how do I get that deadened clicky kind of sound without the booming? What I do anyway (but most drummers don't) is stuff the bass drum with a blanket and have no front skin...Plus what I thought helped the natural tone of it is to have a coated bass drum head as opposed to a transparent one, much prefer the sound of it!

  • lol i noticed you removed the tape between the two camera angles on your snare. >_< which leads me to ask, do you prefer to dull the snare so much with that tape?

  • @jsusfreak13 Haha well spotted! The only reason I had tape on the snare was because I was playing a gig 2 days before where I had to keep ther drums at a low enough level so I taped things up a bit...Much better without the dullness but only noticed (obviously) between angles, haha!

  • Very nice cover, pretty awesome song too, i like how the snare is easier to hear on your cover than the actual song, i had to doublecheck first after i heard this cover, and you seem to be having fun doing this song too, always good to enjoy yourself while doing a cover! :D... good job!
