YT don't understand that it is 'hand-made' videos like these that MADE YT a 'git go' ... for some reason they don't or won't tackle Warner and other big music labels, with a view to resolving the copyright issue. Weird because I can download thousands MORE songs than there on on the whole of YT on certain well-known P2P sharing websites ... Nil problemo.

What happened is: negotiations between WMG and YouTube broke down in December, so WMG demanded that all of their music be deleted from YT... and YT's been complying ever since. Many of us have had videos blocked or muted since then.

The music companies may not realize how many songs are sold by youtube. I bought 5 songs from iTunes (including 2 from your videos) that I heard on youtube. Nine others, plus a whole CD, I heard on videos (without copyright) from other sources. I can't always have my computer on or log into youtube when I want to hear the music, so I buy it so I can play it in my car or on my iPod. Sometimes the 30 seconds on iTunes is not enough to know whether I like it.

While this video has many elements of parody (like all your work), it is also a very affecting homage (like all your work!). You remain my favorite synchers on Youtube, and it's a pity that the corporations and copyright holders are so myopic in their policies.

I've even taken my "favorites" off my public page for fear that my collection might potentially help the copyright police at WMG (and elsewhere) identify videos to target. Sad indeed! :(
