skyrim markarth guard glitch fix elder scrolls v

Ok sorry been out for awhile. The system is xbox 360. I heard it works for pc, and I'm not sure on ps3. Somebody told me an update for ps3 is needed to work. For the people that have the guards attack u right away you need to just be patient and tell the guards youll go to jail than exit dialogue with be slowly trying to move to shrine of talos. I moved through the whole city that way without getting attacked. If they're not there I couldn't tell u what to do. Sorry. Thx for your comments.

i got this same issue...and one time that guy from the Companions wouldn't stop following me and trying to talk to me. anytime i entered a room with him in it he would get up, draw his sword, and run to me to chat. Craziness!

@iMoco13 Yes, heard your not expose to attack any guards when u escape. I did n this is the only solution I could come up with.

@michaelstube26 I just let them hound me by saying take me to jail n backing out with b button. Theyll keep hounding you but you can slowly move a little at a time til you get to where you need to be.

@evilmakoto I don't think it does but guards are normally everywhere no matter what time of day.

Whenever i teleport Markarth a guard directly come at me and starting the bug which blames me for murder and won't matter when i select take my to jail then i ran to the abandoned house which you got your mace to stay away from guard sight wait till midnight and go to shirine of talos with invis potion when i come contact with the guards they attack me directly and i can't even start a conversation with them any tips for me? even if i followed your video to kill those 3 guards they still attack

This was AWESOME it worked great, thank you SOOOOO MUCH!!! For anyone else who is having this problem the best way to get past the guards undetected is to use a potion of invisibility. You must make it to the shrine of Talos undetected or this will not work they will just attack you!!

Now I don't wanna sound like a critic, but I just basically ran in there with gaurds on my ass and walked around with my sword unsheathed and kept pulling out my sword and sheething my sword repeated until that dialog pops up, I then ran around like a dumbass trying to figure out why no one was to arrest me, but it only worked until I killed one person aftwerwards. Had to pay a 7K coin bounty :/

You can pay the bounty to the guard inside the shrine and it will clear the glitch so long as you never re-enter there again or it will be back to square one where they will attack. BTW. I did a slightly different approach to what you suggested where I fought and killed all three guards inside the shrine first, then exited and surrendered to the outside ones where I paid my bounty (only $1,000G) and thus ended the Glitch. I preferred that way since I had less guards to deal with than outside.

This worked great for me on PS3 patch 1.2. I couldnt sneak past everyone but I used Shadowcloak of Nocturnal to get to the Temple and then did everything else. Thanks for the help :)
