I worked with some of the finest iMacs that 2006 could offer for following 2 years... and my experience was 90% what was described above. Lol, maybe I'm not alone?
I know that this is comedy, meant to be noticed, but this guy is talking about PC's running Windows... I have used both Macs and Windows machines since early 90's and Mac OS 10 is much more stable than any release of Windows. Mac "lockups" disappeared years ago. The same can't be said for Vista (or even XP, for that matter).
I own a macbook. It is a funny video! Just comedy people. He was holding an old imac and back in the day (98-2000) both mac and windows crashed a lot.
personally, I prefer windows. Then again, I've only ever been on a mac once. It sucked. I only know one person that is a mac lover. He's a teacher I know. He doesn't own a tv cause he doesn't want to pay for it. He is also incredibly angry.
When Iwas at University (Yes Im British - Sorry) We had Mac's....out of a room of 27 of the things only 1 or 2 were completely operational at anyone time. Oh and dont even think about printing! So however bad it may or may not be on a PC dont EVER buy a Mac!
He's mostly referring to video editing on a Mac. I've edited a lot on a Mac and have had very similar problems. Although, I've never edited video on a PC with Windows. If anyone's referring to Mac's performance with just everyday, personal use, most of this parody won't make much sense. Mac's seem to lock up at the most inoppertune time when you're editing. Almost like it knows you have a deadline that you're quickly approaching.

Personally, I haven't found any preference between the two. It's just irritating, how cocky mac users sometimes are (references all those mac ads). They tend to over-exaggerate problems PCs sometimes have and make them a huge deal. Though if Macs had a task bar like windows does instead of that annoying icon bubble bar, it'd be SO much nicer.... plus more software and less annoying names for the software (i-video, i-movie, i-tunes, i-stfu) it'd be nicer.
I find the dock much better than the task bar. But minimized apps are also in that dock in the application with a small thumbnail of the window. Most of the biggest and baddest software for Mac has no iPrefix. Apple's pro apps included.
The problem people seem to have when comparing the two OSes is the hardware. People compare weaker PCs or weaker Macs and claim results. Yes old PCs have the 'blue screen of death' but newer ones don't. Old macs are PoS performance wise, but the newer ones are much better.

This is so true about macs, but I am assuming this is a couple of years old (b/c of imac/G4) My school once gave me an imac and it ALWAYS crashed because the HDD would always get renamed inexplicably. I don't know about the newer stuff, but I am happy w/ my PC.

full of crap... our Macs are SOOO much better...i have an old G3 Powerbook (400mhrz Pizmo) and that thing smokes our PCs that are clocked at 2.13GHrz (Athlon...my baby) and my moms 2.8Ghrz Celeron D... and guess what... its never crashed oh how surprising... my PC...about every 3 months i have to reinstall Windows cause oh guess what... it gets corrupted... how shocking... MACS RULE AND PCS CRASH
the only thing i use my G5 for is a render pig - if i try and work with textures or even modeling in maya it either crashes or freezes or like this guy said just plain turns off for ANYTHING 3D i use PC's end of story

Wow... you obviously haven't been on a mac for more than four minutes and it was just your luck that it was the one time it froze up. I've been on my mac (laptop btw) for more than a year now and it has froze up to where I had to turn it off only twice. Microsoft freezes up on me when I try to install any software. Microsoft also doesn't multi-task quite as well as a mac. PC DOES NOT WORK BETTER. It freezes up ten times as much as macs do and macs are simply easier, and fun to use!

Adding fonts: Someone upgrades their PC and can not live without their favorite fonts...they just don't remember which ones they are missing...Add a copy of every font from their old computer. 3/4 of the fonts already exist on the new system. Warning box. Press 'Enter' to acknowledge that the font already exists. Again, and again, and again and...uh oh! That was a new font and the only button on that dialog box was a Cancel button! Start over from the beginning! Repeat...

It's funny how everyone is complaining about some guy making fun of an OS. It's his opinion and if he want's to talk about it, let him. And what's more pathetic, is that all of you actually spent time to write a reply about how the mac is great, or how the mac is the messiah. THE MAC IS JUST AN OS! Why don't you people just use your brains and think "hey, this is just a video on a site, it really doesn't affect me" rather than write all that crap.

Yikes! Get a life, people! Yes, Mac's got a more robust OS. But shouldn't you be venting your indignation on more worthwhile things (like world hunger or poverty)? :)
You gotta admit, though, what the Mac lacks in quantity of crashes, it more than makes up for in quality. When Windows crashes, at least it's up-front about it. When a Mac crashes, it's like it's in denial. "What, me, crashed? I haven't crashed, I'm just resting. No no, stop pushing the power button, I'm fine, really!..."

I laughed like crazy, at his incompetence. They use Macs in the majority of elementary schools in the country(Grades 1-5) because they are easier to understand. So that means he has a Grade 5 or less understanding of computers. He's an editor, well I know who not to hire for editing work

Most of the stuff on this video no longer applies, if it ever did. My mac has crashed less total than my windows machine has in the last week. Still, my linux boxes are better.

Is Windows much better? Adding fonts: Someone upgrades their PC and can not live without their favorite fonts...they just don't remember which ones they are missing...Add a copy of every font from their old computer. 3/4 of the fonts already exist on the new system. Warning box. Press 'Enter' to acknowledge that the font already exists. Again, and again, and again and...uh oh! That was a new font and the only button on that dialog box was a Cancel button! Start over from the beginning! Repeat...
