U should get one of the amps I just told u... a 15" L7 takes 1000rms. And an audioque will power one perfectly w/ clean power you just have to adjust the gain and bass boost so u don't blow it.
Ya that is what I meant. You'll have to get the dual 2 ohm L7 to wire to 1 ohm. You can get either amp. IMO hifonics isn't that great there stuff is overrated. And the more power you have is usually better so ur amp won't have to strain to put out all the watts the sub needs.
You can blow any sub with any amp. You have to know what you're doing. But a 15" L7 handles 1000 rms. So you shouldn't push much more than 1000 rms. Hifonics makes amps that push alot of power, without SQ (sound quality). They are truly nice mid-level amps. But I'd suggest the Kicker ZX1000.1 or ZX750.1 to be safe. Kicker underrates BIG TIME. Only problem is... You may have to upgrade your alternator or get another battery depending on what kind of car and year of car you have...

ok.. but wouldnt a 1200 rms hifonics amp do better than the 1600 rms because it wont blow it... would the bass still be clean??
