I think there's a lot of information in this book that is of inestimable value. However there's also a lot of misinformation in it that makes me hesitate. It's probably to prevent it from being off the shelves in a matter of weeks, though it's still a strange thing. He could have used the internet, there's no stopping that, and we're not talking just bad information or wrong information but MISinformation, actual psychological propaganda.

Psychopathy is present in every area of politics and society (thought more in Politics, because they love power). Thanks.Ponerology is a very important outlook on,and analysis of,power,especially contemporary power.I believe that psychopaths have taken over to a tragic extent because power,in itself,is fine.I also think that this study could deviate if it is not conducted based on spiritual (not necessarily "religious") inner peace,growth and presence of the divine soul in us.Or lots of common sense.Otherwise,one can get enmeshed with "pone" without noticing it.But let's go forward, anyway. I don't think anyone is writing these people off as merely 'psychopaths' and therefore harmless. People can be deeply emotionally deranged and still high functioning. Also; once a group are in power I'm not sure it takes a great deal of intelligence to stay in power.

Because surely, YOU'RE smarter and better than a crazy person, right? So that means a crazy person can't really be a threat to you once identified. They want you to view them as weak and harmless. Be emotional, but get people to choose it rationally than out of a fear of this enigmatic...thing. Like seriously. Try that.

Say Hare or Heckley, or even Steven Jay Gould to provide a bit of objectiveness with a social slant. I'm sorry though, I just had to say something about the video. Hubris eh?

Hare is good to study. He has a number of points to identify psychopaths that is fairly accurate. Also his work is mentioned in a film from Canada called "The Corporation". That movie shoud be required viewing for everyone if they want to understand how business works.
