  • Try "Angel of Death" by Slayer...

  • @marek111999555 Nie zdasz.

  • dude here comes the kraken use triggers as well

  • My Fear Have Become Phobias is an amazing song, but the double-bass breakdown is not as fast as people think.

  • /watch?v=HQEMextCuOA

    3:20

that is what i call a fast double bass :DD

  • ¡HEY!

everyone should check out the double bass on this 2 songs:

    - My Fears have become Phobias - As Blood Runs Black

    - The Violation - Fleshgod Apocalypse

    They are BEAST!!

  • /watch?v=odvBrDMjs5E 2:41

  • LASER CANNON DETH SENTENCE

  • Nile?

  • Everyoens saying flesh god apocalypse, not realising they use triggers throughout 90% of their songs....

  • @STEWZYBOY94 triggers don't speed up your bass strokes, they just make your strokes sound even when at high speeds, almost every big drummer used triggers at one time or another

  • as blood runs black- my fears have become phobias. lech kicks ass. also, nile kicks ass listen to 4th arra of dagon

  • Ever hear of Fleshgod Apocolypse, Nile, despised Icon, Falujjah?

    Check em out.

  • I used to think this type of kick drumming was the shit. I was all like ZOMG GEORGE KOLLIAS IS GOD. Well, start checking out John Longstreth from ORIGIN. He will blow your mind.

  • where the fuck is nile? :L

  • Here comes the kraken - THE LEGEND OF THE RENT can beat them all ;D

  • Comment removed

  • @Daiton1100 Not quite. TCL is at 300bpm 16th, while TLOTR is only 290bpm 16th. Close, but no dice. Preferrably though, I'd listen to HCTK over Dimmu

  • opening of the gates - morbid angel

  • GO VITAL REMAINS 1!!!!! FUCK

  • bless the fall-Albright

  • Fleshgod Apocalypse - the violation

    Dying Fetus - Homicidal Retribution

  • Fear Factory - "Self-Bias Resistor". or "Powershiffter" ;)

  • rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • way to start out a video full of drummers w/ double bass with the greatest single bass drum player ever NICKO MCBRAIN!!!!

  • don't really like scream-o

  • @Willie19961 i think people who refer to it as "scream-o" are just ignorant about it, its not emo kid music its metal. just because they scream doesent make that the genre it is.

  • Recognized Run to Hills right when the drumming started. \m/

  • Iwrestledabearonce - Danger in the Manger

  • meanwhile in africa....

  • flesh god apocalypse out does all of these

  • Does anyone else think these bands would be better if the vocalist would just shut up. They don't consider themselves as musicians or singers do they?

  • Vendetta by Slipknot has an awesome double bass intro too, but these are all good too :p but.. nothing will beat angel of death haha.

  • how do u use doulbe pedal and hi hat?

  • @Thecamman8 you don't.

  • @Thecamman8 You simply move your foot over to the high hat pedal...

  • @Thecamman8 but u have to do the other kick drum too

  • I'd like dimmu borgir alot better if they didnt try to dress and act all "scary". :P

  • @RyfoMicol just listen to their music if you like it, who cares what they wear.

  • 113 people like listening to "Reggetón" and dance it very well!!!

  • Why Does Black Metal have to sound like it's recorded on a fucking Fisher Price toy...?

  • @mr4748a i dont see any Black Metal in this list?

  • @Orthrum Dimmu Borgir is black metal

  • @carsogen they used to be.

    Still like em though

  • @Orthrum what do you mean they used to be? they under the genre of Black Metals according pandora and their official band website even says they are Norwegian Black Metals

  • @carsogen They are used to be considered as Symphonic Black Metal.

But theire newer Albums wont match in the Genre "Black Metal" anymore

  • @Orthrum Well how so? There is many sub-genres of Black Metal. I agree they may not be as heavy and evil as they used to be but that doesn't mean that they are not Black Metal.

  • @carsogen Dimmu Borgir have too many repetitive song structures to be black metal, proper black metal barely repeats itself, dimmu use riffs over and over in songs

  • @HardcoreRunescaping do keep in mind that they have been about since the early 90's. thats like saying metallica is repetitive so they dont count as thrash metal or that slayer arent thrash metal as well because they have repeated things they have done in their music. If any of u have anything to say on the matter its as simple as the facts. do ur research before u come at me. cause in just about anything u find it will say they dimmu borgir is a Norwegian black metal band.

  • @carsogen Dude, my college music tutor's been in a black metal band for the past 15 years, I trust his word over the internet.

  • @HardcoreRunescaping Also proper black metal uses an AB song structure, and goes through the song as Riff A Riff B Riff C etc. Dimmu don't tend to use this, they're more on the symphonic side.

  • @HardcoreRunescaping so what ur saying is that there is only one kind of black metal? cause thats what it sounds like ur saying.

  • @Orthrum Dimmu Borgir.

  • fuck this man... im playing GH...hahaha LOL

  • Here comes the kraken - The legend of the rent was way hardcore

  • Meshuggah - Bleed

  • Kataklysm - Blood on the swans

  • To all ABRB fans: they speed up their drums. Just thought I'd let ya'll know.

  • @xxTriviumFreakxx do they? r u sure? im sure a band like that wouldent

  • I don't think I've ever seen a double-pedal like the one in this picture...anybody know what it is? o.0

  • I think 3 is the coolest because of the sheer length.

  • chelsea grin - the human condition is fucking awsome you forgot them

  • I really like Bleed by Meshuggah, Xeper by Vader, and Clouds Over California by Devil Driver.

  • Sickest?

You need to get out more.

  • Minus Vital Remains, of course.

  • listen to drummer from nile.....he's faast.....

  • You missed The Violation by Fleshgod Apocalypse... That is fast.

  • fast double bass is good and it takes some good chops to play them well out of the studio, but speed and length isn't all that matters. The Rev has a double-bass solo in Blinded in Chains, and I think it's more impressive to play a complex pattern instead of a long burst of kicks.

  • @CapitanLawless well said!! long live the rev

  • I miss Divine Heresy FUCK YEAH!!!

  • You missed basically ANYTHING by The Faceless.

  • Have you heard KREATOR?

  • Where's the blast beat of Sommer of Nargaroth ? D:

  • Comment removed

  • All That Remains - This Calling

Might not be as fast, but still pretty damn fast!

  • Symbolic-Death??

  • the insane double bass fill that Dave Lombardo plays after the solos of Angel Of Death is not here, so this video sucks!

  • My Fear Have Become Phobias - As Blood Runs Black

  • all that remains - this calling ;)

  • Bleed has the sickest double pedal beat.

  • The Fleshgod Apocalypse

  • the first song got me good..i had my volume all the way up....good by ear drum

  • Holy Crap number 2 was just sick!!!!.

In combination with the Snare I had the eargasm twice. xD

  • speed may sometimes be important....but man, it's not all..

  • All Origin songs... nuff' said...

  • Whats the opening song??

  • @Dakotaddrum: Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills

  • Drum triggers fag

  • Hilarious. Shit overproduced/edited/triggered stuff and one track that is literally just pure midi.. Hate to tell you, but that Wolfchant song isn't a real drummer. You want sick Double Bass? Try Flo Mounier, George Kollias, John Longstreth and Jamie Saint-Merat

  • albright - blessthefallen

    ??

  • This video needs more George Kollias/ Derek Roddy.

  • try do a list without triggers x)

  • @SonOfWalhall extreme metal speed drumming requires triggers to sound good... the kicks sound muddy and the notes run together at really fast tempos... try ringo star if you want a drummer that doesn't use triggers nowadays LOL

  • @MASSRCOR Thats true, to use triggers that way. I listen to alot of death/black metal, it shouldnt work without it. But there is some who uses it like shortcut or "over-trigg", its much easier to play fast with very sensitive triggers :P

And about Ringo, not a ... very great drummer in technical terms but he did hes job. playing fast is not all.

  • @SonOfWalhall Number one: Morbid Angel - Vengeance Is Mine.

  • You missed Thy Art Is Murder at 320 BPM

  • you missed Here comes the kraken!!

  • fast nd kwl double basses but screamo shit is just a pile of shit

  • hellhammer as #1 is this videos only saving grace

  • Bleed - Meshuggah. nuff said

  • tbdm should be here they got speed like this except no one surpases hellhammer

  • the aild is not that fast

  • you missed as blood runs black

  • @TheBeastermaster and Thy Art Is Murder

  • @TheBeastermaster \

    and MVP by despised icon

  • @mahifish havent heard of em

  • Agreed with you,ABRB are fucking sick band))).I send their's tabs to my band's guitarist, after listening to it he calls me fucking maniac:-D

  • @DaRtHPoHuS actually i like not to use tabs, Abrb guitars use same notes, diferent patterns but they are sick!! the drumer its the best i've heard

  • After listening to them my guitarist starts to write themes with tempo 200<))).Lech playing on drums with face, such he eats porridge on the breakfest:-D

  • @DaRtHPoHuS sorry, what? XD

  • Watch their's videoclip for Resist and i think,that you understand me:-D

  • nile

  • This aint double base i think those are all triple or quad base

  • @vincentvanzwieten first of all; BASS* and no, everything here is double bass.

  • 94 HOURS FOR SURE! <3

  • mfw the intro song features a drummer who is against double bass.

  • @123heavymetalfan456 that song being the iron maiden song.

  • dude, check out fleshgod apocalypse, the violation, sick drummer

  • no meshuggah?

  • dude search up here comes the kraken legend of the rent is way hard core its the most insane song if you want to here brutal bass pedal then skip to 3:20 i think. its insane

    mutala useless heart- searching

    if you find :)

  • Albright-bless the fallen

  • Comment removed

  • @Plektrum1997 For the record, the drummer on that track is Clive Burr, not Nicko

  • @Plektrum1997 Too bad Nicko wasn't with Iron Maiden on The Number of the Beast album, that was actually Clive Burr lol.... bad!

  • @Headbanger9000 Too bad you didnt realise that someone already posted that fact 4 days ago, true what they say about some drummers lol

  • The Legend Rent of Away

  • George Kollias makes 280 bpm blast beats with only right foot... Think About the twins!...

  • What about Kafir from Nile?

  • @DethTones LOL

  • anyone whit an ear knows that a drum machine

    .

  • @yaitsreallyme your ears are broke bro...........

  • @yaitsreallyme idiot

  • @DemonAssassin6661 saus "demonassassinn6661" hahahahhaha killl your self

  • no lie , that sonor pedal in the picture is 2 grand

  • how about Beneath The Massacre-Societies Disposable Son, or With All The Pride And Dignity Of A Drowning Swimmer by Haste

  • This speed is impressive in terms of technique, but to me, very distasteful and annoying to listen to.

  • @JustStayDown90 music all comes down to taste. i cant stand lady gaga, or kesha, im not sure why its played on the radio all the time. and dont even get me started on owl city.....

but this stuff i can actually listen to all the time, nothing is better than this on dirtbike rides, or playing WoW.

  • @cupojoe999 I can agree with you on that it all comes down to taste eventually.

  • The pedals are not fast?? Ya maybe, but they definitly help in speeding up dude!!

  • woah that double bass wuz siq

  • lml

  • AS I LAY DYING !!!!!

  • ...solidní střelnice :-D

  • what about as blood runs black - legends never die (breakdown)? ._.

  • are thouse pedals ment to blayed by whores? your legs are wide open xd

  • Well George Kollias could do all of this with one foot...

  • TRIGGERS

  • @JWZ308 in order for a trigger to activate and sound, the drummer still has to give it a signal, aka HIT THE DRUM... triggers just make it louder and more even dynamically.

    think dude. thats common sense...

  • @Allmetal93 NO WAY REALLY? Pretty sure i already knew that ummm didnt say anything about how triggers worked or not worked. All i know is this kind of metal uses triggers a lot because is humanly impossible to go that fast without them. Before you explain things that pretty much everyone already knows. Listen to music that takes real talent i love metal. But this crap is fake and gay.

  • @JWZ308 Incorrect. It's humanely possible to go at those speeds, and people do it all the time. You're mistaking a trigger for a drum machine. A trigger just relays each individual hit to a PA that then amplifies it with a volume knob - you still have to play the actual note. The reason triggers are considered "cheating" by some is due to the fact that you can play very lightly, and have a PA make you very loud. So, hang the attitude at the door and have yourself a Merry Day.

  • @JWZ308 what about triggers? they dont make you play faster

  • @josshlegg i know triggers dont make you play faster i didnt say they did man everyone is messaging me trying to tell me what they are and they do this and do that i know what they are. Its this style of metal they use them in. Thats all i was implying.

  • @JWZ308 Do you even know what triggers are?? All they do is instead of your bass making a boom sound, it makes a tick or click sound.

  • @Payne1232 yeah they also make it sound more even and in time

  • @Payne1232 Yes, they replace the real sound with a different one, which means it could sound boomy if that is the sound you wanted. Obviously these bands prefer the cut that that clicky sound has.

Changing the sound isn't all they do, though. Using triggers means you create the same powerful sound irrespective of whether you are hitting the bass drum hard or soft, which means you can play dynamically inconsistent strokes or just plain softly and the listener would have no idea.

  • @JWZ308 ...do you know what a trigger does?

  • Anomalous/ braindrill/

  • legs wide opened to play that pedal

  • stupid shit. These drummers ain't musicians they're just sportsmen

  • @93TankeR93 so Gene Hoglan is a sportsman just because he's fast? Not really..

  • Joey jordison in related vids. Fuck yeah.

  • Nile ?? Kataklysm ??
