Christmas is definately of Pagan origin. It's rather obvious.

Christmas is really Yule/Jul. Yule is a winter solstice holiday of Germanic pagan origins. The Yule tree represents the Germanic World Tree which binds the nine dimensions of reality together. The gods of yule are Odin, Frig, Thor and Sif. Also one could honor the Sun goddess Sunna during Yule. Jesus was born in spring. Jesus was a Jew. Jews don't believe in worshipping human men like Jesus. He would be deeply offended by being worshipped like a god. Jesus was a liberal Jew NOT a god.

You are correct about the worship of the so-called Christmas trees. Christians have allowed pagan practices to infiltrate the faith, and doctrines of man and devils permiate the faith once delivered to the saints. That is why I do not allow such things in my home. I worship the one true and holy God every day, and do not need a celebration of the saviour's birth. The scriptures tells us to celebrate His death not His birth anyway. So we don't do Christmas. Get saved heathen. Jesus died for you.

Jer.10 is NOT about a Christmas tree but a GRAVEN IMAGE see vs14. The gold & silver are not paper decorations but real gold & silver that they use to melt to pour over the image when finish.The Christmas tree is NOT a graven image. I wish people would learn to read beyond verses 1-5 and focus on the original Hebrew of verses 8 and 14 and learn what a carved and graven image is. Get real.

@CRoadwarrior I guess when you get to heaven and God asks you why you took a tree into your house and put decorations on it. Then sang songs to celebrate the Birth of Christ around it. You can tell him even though it wasnt in the Bible. I just thought it would be fun and trees cant be idols unless you carve them out and worship them. I'm sure he'll be like oh well its all good I wont send you to hell even though the Bible said not to follow any other customs. Yeah keep thinking that

I agree that Christmas is inconsistent w/ the truth of the birth of Jesus. However, your use of Jer is an teaching that we are not to make idols to worship them. This describes not the act of putting up and decorating a christmas tree but the cutting down of a tree to carve it into an idol. Nonetheless, christians have no biblical support to celebrate christmas and are in fact taught not to follow after traditions of other religions. see Deut. 12:29-32

@newportvtman Going to church on Sunday is pagan. The belief in a trinity is Pagan. So you should say All christians are pagan. Muslims do not do anything Pagans do. So even if Islam was wrong it could not be classified as pagan. If anything Islam is like Judaisn except unlike the Jews muslims believe Jesus is the Messiah. Christians just followed the Catholics who made up the word Trinity which is no where in the Bible and everyone else just fell in line

fablespinner yes the qur'aan says cut off the hand of the thief but it has conditions depending on the circumstance or specific situation. if it is a famine in the land and someone steals food he is stealing out of desperation the islamic law will not stipulate the punishment due to the circumstances which led him to steal

I do not observe Christmas and I am a Christian. Many Christians do not observe Christmas. Nowhere does the Bible condone or promote the observance of Christmas. So what is your point?

Saturnalia was not on the 25th of December but it was a festival that lasted 7 days from the 17th to the 23rd it is more likely that the 25th was used as it is the birth of Sol invictus
