just a little tip, i know it helps me out, instead of steaking out one end and then the other, try steaking out one side (ie the lengths first), get it taught, put the poles in, then steak the other side (or length), of course tarps for some reason always need adjusting(or i need more practice) but i find that removes alot of the major wrinkles, esp after a long days hiking, im not in the mood to fiddle too much, nice vid :)
@seanthehaggis Thanks mate, yes I use many methods with the tarp, I enjoy playing around with the Basha. Check out my set ups called the hopped bivi and hopped half pyramid. Much more recent
Leave on end pinned to the ground, and the entrance end you take the hiking staffs and angle them in the same angle as the tarp is in, and as you did use the bungee cord to straighten it up. The side that is pinned down faces the wind, that way you are sheltered from the elements...
I wish that my tent steaks would go into the ground as easily as yours did. Around here where I go, the ground is as hard as clay sometimes. I have to use spikes with a modification to hold my lines, I use a carabiner. They are odd shaped so they do not slip off the spike. I'll have to do a vid about them sometime. :-))
están mal puestos tus bastones y tus estacas por eso tu poncho se arruga, lo mejor es que ajustaras eso para que el agua de lluvia corra sin problema.
thats really good if you want a sort of tent setup just for you and gear but i dont have hiking poles so could i just use wood? there is another tent set up but that is for 2 people im gonna try both and see which is better ill probly let u no thanks. mechreports1
You could use wood, the best is to use trees, i've go a more recent video done in the woods setting up a tarp. For 2 people you'll probably want a larger tarp, thanks for viewing
Last thing you want is a floppy pole mate :-)

Try this Colin,
Leave on end pinned to the ground, and the entrance end you take the hiking staffs and angle them in the same angle as the tarp is in, and as you did use the bungee cord to straighten it up. The side that is pinned down faces the wind, that way you are sheltered from the elements...

@SurviveN2 Sounds like you have some pretty dodgy ground where you are. Your stakes sound really cool though
