Where is the incident commander? You used the term I/C in the title. I'm not sure why there is a "/" in the title as "IC" refers to and only refers to the "Incident Commander." At no point during the video is the incident commander shown.
@lalov10 Yep. Unfortunately they ran the line right through the fresh black and burned right through it. That's why the FF on the nozzle ran back up with it in his hand to get a new line.
I can't even begin to stress the need for FFs to use all PPE all the time. To not do so is stupid and careless. I fought fires there for years for the ANF long before the current PPE was availible and it was rough. Firefighters die or are horribly disabled without it. This isn't about how macho you are or about how much you can take. It is about doing your job well and going home safe.
@rosales18 if you are referring to the footage that stars at 46 sec they are cal fire and they are from tuu they can take the heat just smart enough the keep them selfs safe while making a aggressive attack on the fire
I have photos of Verdugo Strike Team 1204A leaving Monrovia Station 101 enroute to this fire. @stormnutz08 the fire has been contained and out for sometime now.
