  • this is an old song but it will always be a good song. its true for alot of girls, young mothers or older ones. my little sisters friend is 15 and is bout to have a baby in about two weeks, and i hope that she will listen to this and get somethin out of it like i did

  • Stop judging if you can't relate..

  • aha i finnally find this song, i heard it on the end of the movie "life" and its straight

  • 1 hit wonder but it wuz a really good hit

  • They guy in the white doo rag looks like the little boy from sister act

  • dat is him. lolz

  • He is.

  • dang what happen 2 them!!!

  • ty and u got to go threw the hard to go to were u want to go

  • Being a single Mum is hard but I'd rather be a single mum then not have my kids...totally agree with Twilightlove! x

  • no matter how much it hurts...u got to suck it up.grow some balls.keep ur head held high and do what u gatta do

  • i luv this song brings back m e m o r i e s =]

  • i love this song...and sumtimes you gotta do what you gotta do to provide for your kid no matter what the cost are.

  • i can understand

  • it easy to understand

  • i still remembering stuff wen i hear this..really relate..

  • fuck every person who judge young moms who cant take care of a kid so they do stuff to earn money for them so they can try to give that kid a good fucking life

  • man i swear people judge wayy too much....they think its all easy to take care of a kid and that it dont take money well guess what it does! so damn forgive women who try to support their kids....even if does mean workin at a stripp club cuz at least they're trying nd most of all more than half of these guys that help make these kids do even stick around to help take care of them so all yall haters just shut the hell up cuz yal have no idea!!

  • did you even listen to the song? it's saying to do the exact OPPOSITE of what you think it's saying to do

  • Wow, that comment is filled with so much ignorance, it's making my head hurt.

First of all, not every pregnancy is planned.

You may think you love someone, have sex, and BAM, you got a bun in the oven, and a nigga don't wanna take care of his kids. Not EVERYONE supports abortion, so guess whos left to support the baby ?

And incase you didn't notice, it's actually quite hard to find a job that pays everynight to feed your hungry kid. So stop judging asshole.

  • it aint no xcuse to do that shit.. but GODD!! if you ppl realize that there are things you can't control & desperate for money. I haven't done it.. considering the fact I am single mom.. I aint got a dime but ladies I feel ya & YOU DO!! Have the option... come to me if you need a friend & you feel like you're in a dead end.. I'm here for you to talk to.

  • Firstly, they ain promoting prostitution. they are explaining to the large half os society that dont understand it and cant relate., essentially, they are asking people like you to understand something, withou bias and jusdgement.....shame i see it falls on deaf ears :(

if anybody knows some one in this position help them out give them a place 2 stay till they get back on there feet its the least u could do

  • Thats the only way to feed him hahahaha damn thats fucked up

  • lmfao !!! hahahaha good 1

  • @djpuppy28 It's 3 lines with an amazing message which is more than anyone can say for most of the other 50 line, women degrading, drug defending and beatless, and rhythmless songs that most people today call 'hits'. I'm sorry, but i come from a background of music and i know good music when i hear it. And when i am listening to this, i hear it. I'm not puttin' you on blast or anything, just voicing my opinion since you voiced yours ;)

  • thats ryan toby from sister act 2

  • omfg, takes me back.

sure felt like that girl way back when this song was out.

"..everyday i wake up hoping to die.."

    thankfully i overcame that depression.

  • I love this song i can sing it word for word and iv only herd it three times

  • shyt wat wud yu do if yu was in her shoes?

Awesome song!

  • This is my favorite rap song EVER.

besides Runaway Love, these songs are both verryy deepp.

  • ahaha i remember this song being played at every radio station every 5 minutes back in the day. i absolutely hated it at the time, but compared to shit being played today, this song is not that bad. its rather good actually....Atleast it had a relevant message. unlike anything soulja boy and lil wayne ever put out. those two are the worst thing to ever happen to music period.

  • lol yeah.. hiphop is so shit now

  • ya man rap now is just a bunch a fakers using auto-tune!

  • nice

  • love this

  • I agree with Terramax, this song sends a pretty heavy message about situations that a lot of girls and even some guys get mixed up in. It's sad that a lot of people got to go through that stuff

  • yea

  • this is a awsome song

  • I don't like this kind of music but I do admire the message that this song brings. Would be nice to see more RnB songs deal with such mature subjects.

  • becuz i can understand wat she singin bout. i know my child wasnt a mistake. but doin wat i did was.

  • A child isn't a mistake

  • i am a single mom and im 16 years old and i live by myself. i got 2 jobs and i sell on the side. my son is 2 years old. it was my fault and i made a mistake and now im payin for it.

  • its your fault not the kids fault

  • Lol. 16 with a 2 year old? Jesus fucking christ. What the fuck is going on!

  • i meant to say claudette and ryan

  • the girl and ryan got married and had three kids

  • wow doesn't that bring back memories!

  • what would I do? I would get a job at shoprite or even mcdonalds, rather then disrespecting my body!

  • your childhood meant nothing if you didn't jam to this song

  • agreed

  • haha got that right.

  • so true

  • America was created for everyone. What you do with your life is how it'll end up.

    Amazing song!!!!!

  • So women in this position who prostitute do it because they want to? Do you understand the meaning of this song or did you just feel the catchy beat? If America was built for everybody we wouldn't have needed civil rights protests, and the Native Indians wouldn't have been wiped out. America was created for whites by whites off the back of blacks.

  • God created the world. MAN did that. Baby boy look - would she have gotten prego, have unprotected sex for no reason? It was a choice, no ones perfect. But it's truth. Take responsibility for your actions. Like it says : "Get up on my feet and stop making tired excuses cuz I wouldn't want my baby to go through what I went through." It's a great song in the fact that she's showing it like a take a walk in my shoes viewpoint, at the same time bein told you know you can do better.

  • "Baby girl look" - woul she have had the opportunity to get a complete education she would not be in this position. The poorest people have the most children, why? Because of lack of education, lack of role models, because the Government put more money into prisons than into inner city schools, because she's young and impressionable without real friends and family to guide her, and that is how it will stay unfortunately as these are the members of society who are constantly ignored. The only

  • You have a good point but still...my point is even if that the circumstance - we need to just buck up and admit we made those choices. It's hard yea, were the strong ones - HELL YEA, but still it's responsibility. But i gotchu lol ino what u trying to say. I respect it.

  • Lol yep.

  • ones who even come close to helping us are the honorable members of the NOI.

  • thats a crapy life

  • she's not condoning it, if you listen to the lyrics, many young women from the ghetto and other places who have been raped by their family members grow up with LOW SELF WORTH & ESTEEM and end up pregnant at a young age (sometimes by the family member that was raping them) It helps if you listen to the whole song...

  • this song is sooo sweet mii friends sing this song all the time!!!

  • i know its so sad.

  • 0mg aww...das sad...:(

  • took me more than forever to know about the title of this song and the groupies who sang it! :o I do like this song, it's definitely the shit

  • good-ish song. simple way to avoid the problem: dont have kids. what do you do once you have them? Should've thought of that before you had them. I dont think she's "making tired excuses"...stripping pays a lot. She needs money for school or anything to get going in a real job to help her poor baby.

  • loved this song
