  • MMA fighter would destroy a TSD fighter to peices

  • @MrJordybt dude seriously, maybe your right about that but, but this is really disrespectfull, if you like MMA so much why do you look at something like this?

  • @MrGuitarplayer1990 I look at this, becuase i was a TaeKwonDo fighter and transitioned to MMA....You're right, i was being very disrespectful...I'm sorry for that....I forgot what my Master told me.

  • tang soo do is the fake of "KARATE-DO"

  • 2:42, that guy has a nice stepping side kick.

  • at :49 that's what that guy gets for being cocky and putting his hands down

  • what s that shit?

  • Alot of TSD tournaments moved to No contact sparring for beginners and Light contact for Black belts and above due to a few incidents in the 90's where a guy got his neck broke from a jump back spin kick and another guy got his lower back broken with a punch just below the solar plexis. At least within Tang Soo Do-USA.

To add to this, the only real difference between international style TSD and TKD tournaments is the fact TSD has a different pt system and scores punches to the face unlike TKD.

  • tsd, is for handicap people!!!

  • @tanaanthony These are all Gup ranked fighters which means they are all beginners. Which is better than a keyboard warrior.

  • LOL, I just got this art recomended to me..... I've seen a few videos now and I'm not a fan....sorry. It seems like all competition is touch/point based, witch is a bad way to learn a fighting art. I means students try to just kick alot, keep horible fighting stances and aren't used to using combinations... not to mention there's no grappling of any kind, not even position orientated.. I'm not a huge grappling fan, but having basic knowledge of ground positioning is absolutely necessary!

  • cool guys, cool movie, but funny korean style.plunder Tang Soo Do is originated from gojyuryu karate(剛柔流空手) japan.why you choose korean counterfeit art? pls teach me...shameless fraud korean.

JAPAN EXPO Paris will open within 48 hours!!!!!stop exhibiting fake kendo, korean Haidong Gumdo!!!!

  • @rammsteingod666 I graded a few weeks back and got my green tab which Im pleased about. Everything up to that point is quite heavy in theory ( learning Korean etc ). My club had this pint sized kid about the age of 6 or something graded at yellow belt so Im sure you will be fine :P

  • @rammsteingod666 I guess you do ITF taekwondo. What belt are you? I swear, correct me if im wrong, that WTF dont punch in their society?

  • @rammsteingod666 I see, well thank you for your reply. How long you been doing TKD?

  • Fuck TKD

  • difference between this and taewondo, mature answer please.

  • HELLO! 0.22!!!

  • tkd itf?????

  • Mine is ITO

  • shittier music please

  • @Wamidh lmaoo

  • These funny point-fighting matches are a disgrace to Traditional Martial Arts. This is a total joke, hope these guys dont ever get in a real fight and try that flying tornado kick while wearing jeans.

  • or walk across a ring with that stupid face height kick-holding your leg in the air and when you feather kick- them and raise your hands in victory unaware they are about to pound you in they face-and then proceed to get your ass kicked. These type of movements have little power and leave you open to attack.

  • what organization is this? I do TSD also but I am part of the World Traditional Tang Soo Do Federation.

  • @AlecTheRedOne Polish Tang Soo Do Federation,a representative of Cheezic Tang Soo Do Federation

  • @MarKosTSD ok cool. thanks

  • @MarKosTSD Aye Cheezic Tang Soo Do, Im Black Belt #2018 Second Dan

  • good kicks!!!

  • style doesn't matter, it's the person that matters

  • @gnarlyphotography bullshit

  • @Rnt911 maybe there is a misunderstanding. Style is good. But not a set style. (ex Karate) bad ground game.

    good balance.

pros and cons. we are all humans therefor there is one style, human style. until we have 4 or 5 arms styles don't affect anything.

    -loose quote from bruce lee.

But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  • this style is better mostly just involves leg kicks which weigh more then fist hits on the face or human skull.

  • join the Tang Soo Do Network get access to vid tutorial and more, visit TangSooDoOnline(dot)com

  • im doing compitetion in 2011 :]

  • Haha.. Funny..

  • there so slow o.o

  • Jeez, this people would kick my ass when it comes to sparring, they arent afraid to get hit :D, pretty tight

  • @Drewz3r0 why would you be afraid to get hit with 8 inches of padding between your opponent's foot and your head? 0_0

  • lol @ fighting with your hands down. great ma

  • Its not about the art, its about the actual martial artist. You get what you put into it, so it doesnt matter what you study. All arts have their positives and negatives.

  • 0:15 that looks like a hwoarang attack from tekken

  • Back spin kicks looked good. I noticed that most of the hyungs needed more power though. TSD is about self-defense. Every block / attack should be strong enough to knock back an opponents attack or put them on the ground.

  • just learn TKD. TSD is such a crap or fake money maker.

TKD is superb about all than TSD.

  • @gundrag000 TKD came AFTER TSD.. its a derivitive of it. TSD was founded in the 1940s, while TSD has been around ALOT longer. TKD is more sport than anything, and its all about its show boating kicks.

  • I knocked a Tang soo Do stylist teeth out in the USKA World Championship.

  • @nandansho We had an exchange student from Germany who was just shy of getting his black belt in kickboxing... very impressive stuff. Its definately a fighting art.

  • Tang soo so is good!

  • I do Tang Soo Do and remember that sparring is NOT self defense, its a exercise and sport. In a self defense situation we (TSD practitioners) would spear/punch our opponent in the throat and not even think about high kicks.

  • If you morons knew anything about TKD, you would know that it had its origins in TSD and both are very similar to one another. Chuck Norris was TSD, and destroyed many TKD and Karate practitioners in his tournament career.

  • Lol , this is real shit.. tkd would pwn them.

  • its like TKD's retarded step cousin...

  • yeah da wa ich auch dabei!! TANG-SOO-DOO 4EVER!!

  • I enjoyed this video, I practice ITF TKD myself, and see many similarities, I do not enjoy the forms as much, but the breaking techniques are excellent. Thanks!

  • what belt do you need to be to free contact fight like in this video?

  • i miss this stuff alot got my black belt back in 05 and eventually stoped goin thinkin bout gettin back into it

  • Redketchupz, get any tkd yellow belt to fight me and I'll kick the shit out of them

  • Tell that to Lyoto Machida!

  • spinning hook kick at 1:20 was beautiful

  • aww i was at this championship anddone pretty good but they didnt show me in the video

  • poor, i hate tagb

  • lose the protection...

  • This is like TAGB Taekwondo but really slow and with minimal contact.

  • 0:40 .. WTF?! this guy is jumping around sloowly on one leg and to top shit off lands a kick?!

I think if it wasn't for regulations that guy would have been knocked out!!

  • He is a fan of Hwoarang from Tekken .. (watch hwoarang tekken 6 juggles) .... these kids are posers xD...and i agree...if they fight in real encounters...well idk with them.. xD

  • @slackdave if your even remotely familiar with tang soo do, the guy jumping around like that at 0:40 seconds is doing what is called a machine gun kick, and its done a lot in classes and a great regimine in training the body as well.

  • @SilentPunk101

If you're even remotely familiar with machine guns you'd know better than to call something misfiring that slowly a machine gun. ;-p

  • @slackdave its just the name of a kick.

Do me a favor and stop watching these videos if your going to mock a martial artist.

  • @SilentPunk101

Can't do you that favour. I'll go where I want, and if I see something I might just have to react.

My final comment though, not all who train are martial artists. At one College I attended, some third year had printed out papers saying "You're not a Designer, you're a first year". Though I probably wouldn't have call that third year a designer either.

  • Um....yes....one who does train IS and always will be a martial artist....so F**k off.

  • @SilentPunk101

    Thanks for clarifying that!

  • It looks like a splendid way to receive a single leg takedown.

  • I took Taekwondo whilst at university but was previously a black belt in Tang Soo Do.

Both have their strong points. You must remember that this is points sparring though. It doesn't show much. In tkd there is no moderation of force, knock out > next round. In tsd if you use excessive force you can be disqualified. Difference of principal. Again, here, points sparring, first to touch the area gets the point. I also did Shaolin Kung fu, both pale in comparison in sparring comps to that.

  • i'm red belt at tae kwon do and i can say that the tang soo do looks a little out of combat technique 'cuz they use the kicks like little jabs and that's rly useless 'sometimes 'cuz you are out of balance in a real combat but they have good moves also

  • These guys sparring are not the representatives of Tang Soo Do. All that was thrown was basically ahp bahl tollyo cha ki (Front leg round house kick) and dwi huryo cha ki (spinning hook kick). There were no pandal (crescent), nearyo (downward/axe), dwi yup (spinning back) or yup (side) kicks.

  • This is shitty. TDK yellow belt would kick ass of TSD black belt.

  • siur ;p

  • it looks like they only have a few moves.. And constantly put themselves off balance lol...

  • @RedKetchupz lmao

  • @RedKetchupz i hope you dont mean tkd because thats practically the same sport dumbass

  • @RedKetchupz ru kidding me? you are liek whitebelted taekwondo and u think u know what tangsoodo or tkd is. lol u will learn a bit when u get about black belt with 1st dan. then u have atleast SOME experience. Untill that u know veryvery little about it

  • @RedKetchupz someone who cant even fight could beat a taekwondo yellow belt

  • @Souljaboy778

    Come and try.

  • @RedKetchupz and muay thai amateur with n0o belts would fuck both you up

  • @RedKetchupz dude all dojos aren't the same a yellow belt in that class could be the equivalent to a red or brown in any other dojo

  • @RedKetchupz and jiu jitsu white belt would wreck both of them

  • @j21721j21721 But Jiu Jitsu is fucking gay!!

  • @RedKetchupz yes the worlds most efective self defense system is gay lol how so? the way i see it dancing around like a fairy is pretty gay

  • like you, pussy bitch

  • @RedKetchupz that depends on which black belt I am with a different Tang Soo Do organization and none of our black belts are like this. They are much better.

  • @RedKetchupz Why? Its virtually the same martial art and they both were till not long ago. Do you research before you come out all cocky like that.

  • @RedKetchupz Thats really disrespectful man

  • @RedKetchupz haha , its not the sport what better , both are great sports and if you have no respect for that ,you please stop commenting , and a yellow belt vs a black belt , dont make me laugh

  • @RedKetchupz eh.no its just different.i did TSD is more controlled while TKD is faster. This is mostly due to the equipment cause in TSD u dont have a vest.

  • @RedKetchupz Correct me if Im wrong but isn't TSD and enhanced version of TKD? TKD mostly kicks whereas TSD punches and kicks, right ?

  • no tang soo do is very useful in street fights more so then taekwondo study the history kids only problem is some instructor for tang soo do are lax and there students start to look more like Taekwondo students my cousin takes taekwondo and we both agree tang soo do wins

  • You guys wear the little booties.

  • ... ummm Taekwondo ???

  • no its different.

  • the most im seeing is kicking and very few jabs.

...and also atleast 5 spots completely wide open on every screen-switch.

  • this would be useless in a street fight no offense to the art though

  • this shit looks ok

but looks like they dont keep there hands up

and this looks useless in the streets

  • Ugh what ugly'ness

    WHAT A EPIC ART XD

but i think i'd still win any with that art! >:]

  • bad

  • : 41 secs what the hell is that?! the guy in black deserved to get scored on for not jumping all over that. As for for TKD not using hands, that's the dumbest shit and the biggest misconception ever. There are for far more hand techniques in TKD than there is kicking. get your facts right, mook.

  • I think that misconception comes from Olympic Tae Kwon Do, where they very rarely use hands, and usually fight with there hands at their sides. Not How I would fight, but I have fought guys with kicks so fast that I couldn't see them. In that case i guess you wouldn't need your hands.

(1st Dan Moo Duk Kwan TSD, 3rd Kyu Judo, 7th Gup Hapkido, 8th Gup Jhoon Rhee TKD)

  • it has discipline. im in tang soo do and believe me i had practice yesterday and im still hurting. this is tang soo do i reconise the foot work. but the punches they had. i didnt c any1 who punched like we did. look at there elboes. they way they moved it. it could seriously hurt them. but the foot work. man i thought i was good. but when i do a high kick. it is faster then theres. and mabe more deadly. but they have more control. oh yeah and im grade 10. which is white belt. and im catching on

  • Where are the guards.

  • the art of war doesnt define a martial art. The person defines what the art is about by what they use it for. The other reason is there are arts like aikido that resolve conflict without violence

  • well that was a bit confused, my fault, when i said "less art" i wanted to say that many martials arts are getting a gymnastic form and i wanted to say that here in tang soo do we are artist but we are not gymnastic, i think (for example) xtreme martials arts are getting a lot of moves to only "cool watching" but obviusly all martials arts have their own way to make the forms , or self -defense

  • it looks like tae kwon do

  • taNG SOO do = similar to karate and taekwondo

but this is less comtetitive, more dicipline, less "art"

  • so wrong about that my friend; so entirely wrong! Tang soo do is very competetive, yes were are disciplined martial artists but lesser of an art form....I think not! Tang soo do IS an art very much so!

  • well i think i didt write what i wanted to say

    all martial art is art

    maybe i wanted to say

    "nice looking"

    or something like that...

  • I agree Traditioal tang Soo Do isn't very flashy or pretty, but it's power and focus, at least to me, offer a sense beauty.

  • Yeah, tae kwon do is loosley based on this, but they dont use their hands. Its more of a sport than a martial art in my opinion (tae kwon do i mean)

  • haha, and who says Tang soo do is a weark form of Martial Arts :-D. i take it, and i could kick butt with it if time needed

  • YOU ARENT SUPPOSED TO HOP ON ONE LEG WITH UR KICKING LEG IN THE AIR!!

if this is what their instructors are teaching them to do (shitty fighting style, and breaking paper thin wood) then they're just bad instructors.

at the end of the day, the best is joining an full-contact mma gym that doesn't over focus on ground technique.

playing boxing on a Wii will get you farther in life that what I saw in this vid...

  • Why tell the opponent what you're gonna do by walking towards them with your leg raised? Also why does no one have their guard high when it's clear most of these people will go for a head kick? Have any of these kids heard of ducking?

  • with raised leg you can do a lot of tehniques, side kick, roundhouse kick or even a hook kick or boxing punches. In semi contact you dont have to have a normal boxing guard becouse you must be fast. If sbd kick to head you can do a front jump hand punch.

  • I know, but raising your leg before you're ready to kick is too easy to block or move away from. Why run backward away from a kick when their leg is raised? You're gonna get kicked. It would be better to move sideways or move in.

  • Not to mention that the kick has lost all of its momentum in that position and the power is coming from nothing but the knee, making it about as effectual as a nudge.

  • exactly! there is no hip into the kick. it's worthless. these people are trained strictly for scoring points and in japanese karate those kicks wouldn't even qualify as points.

  • But slide with side kicks can prepere next action.

  • But kicking like this is way too easy to see coming. I fail to see how these people were taught to give away such obvious signals in fighting. I also fail to see how the idiots getting kicked didn't see it coming a mile away!

  • I agree with Ih901. I don't get it. These people would not last five seconds in a Shotokan tournament. All you have to do to someone bouncing on one foot with the other leg in the air is knock or push them down.

  • Its not as simple as that. With your opponent's leg raised it is difficult to manoeuvre around it since every direction is covered by a kick. I personally don't use it, but a nice reverse roundhouse gets around it, since a point can't be scored on the back.

  • True that.i cant see these guys fight on the street bouncing their leg in the air and tryin 2 whiplash a roundhouse 2 the head.its 2 risky cuz ur leaving an open shot 2 any other part of ur body

  • Comment removed

  • If this went into a mixed tournament, the raised leg would result in either the opponent moving behind you, or the leg your standing on being kicked from under you.

  • awesome ;P

hm.."MarKos"...jesteś gdzieś tam wśród tych "kopiących się" czy tylko sam tam ten..robisz te tam..no...ten..? ;P ^^

  • Ja tylko robię ten, no ten... ;p chociaż widać mnie wśród kopiących 0,43 :)

  • im on this vidio. go me

  • Wtf?

    ...

Since when is hopping on one foot a fighting stance?

    This is ridiculous.

  • i know the guy that gets roundhoused on 25 haha

  • Haha im on there!
