@kaeskaheita Tuning doesn't effect the tone of the guitar to the point of where it would sound electronic. That's what pedals and amp are for. There are pickups specifically designed to sound like an electronic guitar or a synth guitar, a lot of bands use those in the place of an actual synth in the band. Hope that answered the question :)

@Jaddeel I am a guitarist. I've played in various rock and metal bands. I own a recording studio, and 3 electric guitars. I know what a distorted electric guitar sounds like, and this isn't it. Not even close.

If you name a piece "guitar vs. piano" it is implied that a guitarist (and a guitar :P) will be involved in the creation of it, which didn't happen, and is very disappointing (not to mention insulting) for guitar players.

@ikisdragonfist And what's the surrounding? Studio? Stage? Mama's living-room? Simply dismissing everything is the act of a weak mind, or are you objecting because it's probably done in a synthesizer? Pay attention to enough Rock/Metal and you'll hear a myriad of distortions and techniques.

@Jaddeel If you're not a guitarist, you might hear "just distortion", but a guitarist can tell what's behind it. In a guitar piece, the softest string dynamics and techniques can still be heard, even with extreme distortion.

There's none of it in this piece. It's a synthetic sound, played by a program into which notes were written. No human touch at all.

There's nothing wrong with using a synth to make music, it's perfectly fine.

Just don't call it "guitar vs. piano". It's false advertising :P

@ikisdragonfist Well.... It sounds like an electronic guitar :P Maybe this guitar had a synth pickup? One of mine have them. We use it instead of an actual synth in the band but this is obviously a computer program, but still not impossible to be an actual guitar :)
