NOW this is what rap used to be about before all the materialism and genocide! This+many other original hard funky beats and raps is what RAISED me! It's in my soul, young folks today really have NO idea what it's really about! This is when neighborhoods all over every city in this country had various house+block parties at once! Hearing oldschool music like this REALLY brings a tear to my eye from the memories! PEACE to all the pioneers like: AfrikaBambaata,SugarHill,GrandMasterFlash, etc!
NYC, Brooklyn baby. I'm still rockin it out and it's 2012 !!!!! This is me all day....up next The Smurf Tyrone Brunson 1984 bringin the par-tay to the party
To all new rappers out there, i dare you to rap in rounds. check out the last verse at 5:54 to 6:12. Now that was talent. Until this day, have never heard that EVER again. Damn old school still rocks!
when I start playing the oldschool I cant stop finding more and more to bring me back to a time when we wore name belt buckles; carrying radios around all day and playing music and meeting girls and having biggg fun. My son loves the oldschool rapp and beats. Damn we had a ball
dag this jam rocks through all times. I wanna do the wop,the klick klack, the prep. the hustle....Bushwickprojects doing the huslte in the park..big up for the post

...maybe there wasnt the radio station i think was editing this or mixing it some kinda way now that im listen ing to it here again for like the first time in 20 years or something
Ha! Funny that I was checkin' out the other video with the short version and read your comment....then I noticed the full version listed on the right hand side under Related Videos and now I see you over here. You must've done the same thing! The long version is definitely the shit! I still have this vinyl too....Peace
I never even knew the short version. I ckecked for the clip..but it really was too much cut up. In the old days, a 12" always was the most complete with all the extra's. In many cases, the 12" was the original for the clubs and later they cut up radio versions out of it.
Yeah...I just came here from that bullsh_t short version. I was kind of annoyed, but I'm over it already (just needed to hear Charlie Prince say "Come from the heavens above, I'm known to be the prince love, when it comes to meetin' me you do have to shove". (which was "missing" from the other version).
