@TheGzeus I remember something called Schnappi being in the charts (In the UK at least) a few years back (/watch?v=vwBj1EIBOg8). Other than that, I can't remember any non-english music being in the top 40.

In comparison, European countrys have songs of foreign languages. For instance, right now Germany has a few german songs, but are mostly the same as the UK/ US charts (Aka, all english).

Tombotieboom = Tambotitree. There are a few of them growing on my dad's farm here in the Ellisras area. I'm not sure but I think it is a very rare kind of tree. "Tamboti" is also a very popular name for naming their businesses, like local "Tamboti Toyota" (Previously it used to be Ellisras Toyota). When burned apparently mosquito's doesn't like Tambot's smell and also not good for putting a choppie on the bar-b-q. Old dead Tamboti is excellent for making furniture.
