actually, not that many countries drive with their steering wheel on the right. over half do not--look it up. it's out of the norm to most people, hence the large amount of comments about it.

In terms of population of people driving on the left it is around 3 billion people which is nudging 50% of the worlds population. If you look at the countries that do drive on the left they're some of the biggest in the world (India, Japan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Kenya, part of China). Add to this Australia, the UK, South Africa etc and the figure gets quite large quite quickly
