Alot of countries Cull Animals to control numbers. For instance I am English and I know they cull alot of deer herds here to control them. And yet there is not nearly such big protests about it. What makes Roo's so different from Deer? I am a great lover of animals, but I can see why culling much be preferable to overpopulation and the Roo's ending up pushing over native animals into Danger because of heavy competition for resources.

I dont see culling roos as any different to controlling bugs, when there are too many they need to be culled to keep balance in the eco system, whats the big deal? See Louise I don't do reseach via the internet I actually get out there first hand and do something about it sweetheart, I've seen first hand the damage they can do if left uncontrolled. When I was in Outback Qld the roos were a huge problem at night mostly, very dangerous to drive at night as there was a very very good chance of hitting a roo or 2, infact thats exactly what happened, a roo ran out in front of the car and we hit it, and nearly hit another one 15mins later! I've had a bit of a look at the sites you mentioned - biased!

You will feel better for it. A basic fact is that Kangaroos have flourished since white people invaded this land, built dams and created pastures. We now need to control them. Alot of countries Cull Animals to control numbers. For instance I am English and I know they cull alot of deer herds here to control them. And yet there is not nearly such big protests about it. What makes Roo's so different from Deer? I am a great lover of animals, but I can see why culling much be preferable to overpopulation and the Roo's ending up pushing over native animals into Danger because of heavy competition for resources.

I dont see culling roos as any different to controlling bugs, when there are too many they need to be culled to keep balance in the eco system, whats the big deal? See Louise I don't do reseach via the internet I actually get out there first hand and do something about it sweetheart, I've seen first hand the damage they can do if left uncontrolled. As I said before I don't see any difference to them or mince or rats, bugs you name it. Cull then if need be.

When I was in Outback Qld the roos were a huge problem at night mostly, very dangerous to drive at night as there was a very very good chance of hitting a roo or 2, infact thats exactly what happened, a roo ran out in front of the car and we hit it, and nearly hit another one 15mins later! I've had a bit of a look at the sites you mentioned - biased!

You will feel better for it. Many people die of bowel cancer, and many have up to 4 pounds of undigested meat in their gut when opened up, also you wont take on all the fear hormones which is scientifically founded, which i believe causes cancer etc And you will hve more money

What little understanding you have of the process, have you actually been out with a pro Kangaroo Hunter or have you just watches some bias trumped up video of some retard protending to be professional so you can get dramatic footage to show to the world? The pros head shoot all the kangaroos they hunt, they arent allowed to take any other kind of shot, as this is the most humane way to cull the kangaroos, they are the rules and they stick to them as they cant sell roos that arent.

Total utilisation of these critters is the best option but is not always possible due to our goverments red tape. It is obvious that there was over population in this area and needed to be controlled. Oh yeh and I think a roo roast tastes great.
I believe whale also tastes good but I don't think I could eat a whole one!!

That's 100% true. But how do you fix it? I'm all for a reduction in human population, but how? Convince every couple in the world to only have one child? The religious nuts will love that. I know I don't need to rely on supermarkets for my food, I feel sorry for those people who are to scared to live life as intended and fend for themselves once in a while.

It's a tough one, valmet. China legislated one child per couple, and right or wrong it has slowed their population growth. (Horrible enforcement practices, however). I guess we can only educate people, make contraceptives free, spay, neuter. :) Appeal to everyone to ensure there is a future planet earth. (Fending for ourselves would be hell on the surrounding environment if EVERONE did it, however).

2) Utilize commas and periods.
3) Most importantly, we have not driven any whales into extinction.
4) A painful fact of your country. Your sovereignty is based upon the massacre of and unilateral ousting of the indigenous people. You are not going to gain respect from the world by selfishly slaughtering animals you don't benefit from, or criticizing another nation's cultural and sustainable practices to secure its own food.

Wake up to yourself. A fact, painful or otherwise of most countries is that they were brutally taken over by other nations. The Japanese even had a go at invading Australia a while back I believe, no?
If you knew anything about what you are talking about you would know that kangaroos, instead of being in danger of extinction (like several species of whale) are in almost plague proportion. They eat and breed themselves into starvation. Which would be a better way to die I suppose?

Oh, and who say's we don't benefit from harvesting kangaroos? Australia exports kangaroo meat to more than 50 countries. Plus we eat it here sometimes too. I have no problem hunting whale for food as long as it's sustainable by the way.
