I think one of the greatest aspects of Clara I am taking with me is the fact that at her age, she is still doing SO much. I think we all want to live long and well. The fact that she is still able is an inspiration as much as her words and wisdom.

I felt sorry for Michelle for doing this interview. From afar, Clara is a nice elderly woman. As the video showed, she was very rude to the reporter. That was uncalled for, in my opinion.

My grandma crocheted more than anyone in Cleveland, so seeing this crocheting made me laugh ha! Grandma crocheted whole blankets, doll clothes for all our dolls, hats and sweaters for us.. on and on. She learned as a child in Cleveland ! I STILL don't know how to crochet. She used to get impatient like this, too ha ha ! When people tried learning crochet.

it takes time to learn to crochet &/or knit. my great grandmother taught me to chain stitch (foundation stitch to crochet) when i learned that i just chained forever...huge, long rows. several years later i picked up the crochet hook & was determined to learn so from what she taught me i taught myself to join stitches. i know how to make amigurumi dolls using crochet & i taught myself to knit.

Clara lives near me... I read the article about her in the Post Standard today... she is an amazing lady!!! :)

JUST this morning, I "friended" her and even created her Peppers and Eggs dish... IT WAS FABULOUS and I spent: eggs on sale for $1.29 and one pepper for $0.48. If you divide the cost of the eggs into 12 - I used 3 - you get $0.11 for each egg... so, I used $0.33 there. Add the pepper and you get breakfast for $0.81... and that was for TWO!. THANKS, CLARA! :-) Next, I'm trying your bread and olive oil... I live in CA so putting my meat in the snow won't happen, though... :-)
