Im from new zealand,and Ive gotta say that you guys are so lucky to witness the space shuttle launch!! The closest we get to it is fireworks!! It must be WICKED to see & hear that thing launch!

There is nothing cynical about enthusiasts. My wife and I travelled from New Zealand in 2003, to watch the launch of the Opportunity Mars Rover. When it finally launched, the cheers and applause from the spectators around us were just as enthusiastic as for this, or any other, Shuttle launch. We can relate to that, because we are enthusiasts, too.
Wow thats magnificent, does anyone know how often they launch these shuttles into space?
