  • i can see Fred Gwynne doing this easily i like this

  • this show was not any worse than any other show from the time period corny and funny better than the "reality" shows on now

  • This is ONE of the worst shows in the mid60's! Terrible to think something above a paramecium would watch this total trash!

  • Old cars are awesome! Think of it this way: Dick Van Dyke had Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jerry had "My Mother the Car". Lol now I want a 1928 Porter!

  • corny as shit. loved it.

  • @tapatton9 well thats 60s comedy TV for ya.....but hey, at least it was geat!

  • HIs wife is really annnoying! She's the one who goads him and then she complains about him getting up so many times and then sleeping in the car. She's so bossy.

  • I agree! I can see him now, looking at the audience and saying, "Don't ask me, folks! I don't know why I married her either!" Also, she could've gotten up and stopped the house from being robbed. To say the least of it, she's not only bossy, she's stupid!

  • It's against the law to sleep in your own garage??

  • This is a wonderful old show.. Lots of comedy and laughs... Love all the actors in it. I loved it way back then and still love it now!

  • Following her on-camera success in '40s films and '50s TV ("Private Secretary." etc.), Ann Southern wanted to make a television comeback -- but illness had spoiled her once stunning physique. Doing this show as the voice of the car seemed like the perfect solution, alllowing her sexy purr to be heard without her body being seen. Director Rod also helped craft "Dobie Gillis"; too bad his direction here doesn't match his rapid-fire work on that series. And Bill Daily - the perennial sidekick!

  • copied my video...

  • i love this show

  • i wonder if a show like this would do good today

  • This show is a feel good show. I loved it growing up and it takes me back to the uncomplicated good old days!

I cant wait till it is available on DVD

  • This show has been featured on many lists as one of the top ten worst shows ever. I can't understand why? I loved it! Okay, the plot is a little weird, but remember Bewitched, Gomer Pyle, Mr. Ed, The Munsters, The Beverly Hillbillies, Gilligan's Island (c'mon, A THREE HOUR TOUR?), and so many more? All had goofy plots, over the top acting, impossible and very lame situations, but I still liked them. Plus no fake laugh track. I watched all five episodes on Youtube and still enjoy them.

  • I am remember this when I was a kid. It a classic.

  • It isnt any worse than most shows from that time. Actually i kinda like it.

  • its not that bad of a show ive only heard of this show never got to see it.....pretty good

  • great shows!

  • This was a weird episode.Trophy hot blonde wife...and he prefers seperate beds or his mommy car..uh-huh, veeeery Fruedian...

  • I miss the laugh track. It seems to make it more funny. It seems odd without it.

  • LThere were thirty episodes made of this show. Where are most of them?

  • Bill Daily makes an early guest appearance in this episode (as Dave's friend "Phil"), filmed before he began appearing exclusively on "I DREAM OF JEANNIE"...I do miss the original "United Artists Television" logo at the end, though...

  • no laugh tracks cool!
