how much did you pay for the exhaust, i have a 97 mercury zetec and i just have 2.25 inch straight pipe but with a muffle and cat, got rid of resinator and got half inch bigger piping, whats the specs on your exhaust?

Is the SP2 louder then your stock SI exhaust? I think the stock civic SI loudness is perfect. I know running catless will make it louder ,but im just tryint to get a general idea.

yeah, the sp2 gives it a slightly louder, more aggressive tone. i agree, honda did a pretty good job on the stock exhaust.

ummmm...it was dropped on eibach pro kit and those are 16" RSX wheels painted gunmetal with a silver lip which were mounted with snow tires- my winter setup. my summer setup was WORK XD-9's.

good luck finding a greddy sp2, they discontinued it. :/ they now have the se aka spectrum elite. i've heard it in person and like the sp2 better. no, the setup in this vid was not raspy at all. it was perfect and my favorite setup of all that i had.

dcrh is just fine. It's not crappy like it used to be. If you want bigger, go with the vibrant header. Don't waste your money on the buddy club. Everyone goes with that b/c they're sheep and love to have something shiny that they can't even see under the hood.

dc sports went downhill. strup left and now they sold to apc i believe. their parts will be sold at your local auto parts store. i had their exhaust too and it was junk. the tip fell of and needed to be welded back on and the weld in front of the resonator failed. had to have that fixed...BC has a stainless multi piece header with a test pipe, great quality. vibrant has a stainless 1 piece with flex pipe-cheaper.

sure. it's larger than stock, mandrel bent, and has a straight through muffler design.

you are quite correct. i should have checked the conversion chart first. stock exhaust is definitely 2.25" (57mm) :D

dcrh is junk, not worth it man. mine broke at the flex pipe. go with the vibrant or bc. there's also the strup stainless header but i don't know much about that one. he used to engineer parts for dc when they were good. now he has his own stuff. google strup header

no problem man. you'll need the defouler for sure if you're running a header w/out a cat. most likely will need it for the header with the hfc but i'm not 100% sure on that. i don't have any experience with it.
