my piercer used a needle on my cartilage back in christmas (last year, lol) and it felt fine. but before this, i chose to use a gun few years ago and it didnt heal well so i took it out eventually. thats why i redone it on christmas.

my sister had her first cartilage pericing done with gun, it still hasnt healed, she got all the others done with a needle and had no problem, so guys DO IT WITH A NEEDLE! GUNS ARE DANGOUROUS AND FUCK UP YOUR EAR! <3<3

Ugh i dread seeing people getting their cartilage pierced with a gun. I had my cartilage double pierced at claries--they never truly healed and I had them for 2 years.. I later learned my cartilage had shattered. I removed the piercings but I can no longer sleep on my left side because any type of pressure causes my ear pain, this is 5 years later. They need to make guns illegal!!!

@xRhapsodyBluesx Claires should be illegal! They screw up EVERYONES ears. I would rather go to a sketchy place in the middle of chinatown than to ever go to Claires! But when piercing with a gun, a ear never heals quite correctly. Mine did, but that was a given, thankfully.

@livisgotbieberfiever of course it's going to hurt! it's a piercing! it'll sting and hurt, and maybe burn for the most of 10-15 quick seconds. You won't know until it is pierced and either way it isn't that bad

@105secretgirl For me, no. everynow and then there was a TINY bit of swelling, but it was stinging that really occured. Don't get it done with a gun. I did, but its really not all the safe, and for some people, it can damage their ear really easily. If you do pierce it with a gun, find a good, sharp earing to pierce it with..like a gold earing, something that won't irritate your ear in the future like cheap fake gold and silver from Claires.
