I think Metallica will always be better for me as i discovered Machine Head at a Metallica concert whilst they were supporting. In terms of the music being produced at this point in time Machine Head are doing much better, i mean compare Through the ashes of empires, The blackening and the soon to be Unto the locust (heard locust only so far) to Metallica's St. anger and Death Magnetic. I mean MH are in a different league now!

they played this when i saw them in birmingham in february, everyone was screaming, but all you could hear was the music... i have been a fan of machine head since 2004 when i heard the burn my eyes album, and i have never stopped. i have all thier albums and three tshirts, and have seen them twice, but never, never, have i felt so much emotional power from a song when i saw this. i am proud to say that tears came to my eyes as i sang along and i wasnt the only one.

The Burning Red the song is epic. The Burning Red the album, not so much. It's ten times better than Supercharger, but after Burn My Eyes and The More Things Change, it was a rather weak effort. They more than redeemed themselves with Ashes and The Blackening, two of the best metal albums of all time! MACHINE FUCKING HEAD!!!
