The key thing that makes this song ROCK:
Rick Nielsen is the most underrated guitarist in rock! He kicks ass on this! Check it out just after the 5 minute mark (and again at the 9 minute mark), sit back and try to keep from smiling at Rick's antics as the band cranks it up and Rick goes into overdrive.
Does anybody have more fun playing than he does?

@fasted27 You know whats amazing about Rick Neilson is that he comes across as this easy going and timid musician and looks like Satch from the Bowery Boys. But the truth is that he paid his dues playing in bars and small venues and is definitely street tough. I recall reading an article years ago where Slash from Guns & Roses stated that when he was over at Ricks house and was drunk and rowdy and starting shit that Rick put a gun to his head and asked him if he wanted to end it.

Cheap Trick is one of those rare bands that sound good just about anywhere. Live recordings, Studio recordings, Live performances....you name it. And this is one song and performance that showcases the band at their best!! Rock On!!

I am not sure but this live version was too good to pass up I guess...to me it is far and away than any studio recording I have heard. This is a song for live entertainment
