I actually really hate the way Trace Cyrus sings this song, well when I say sing, I mean whisper.

The band wouldn't be as big as they were with the 8 year olds unless it was for Trace being Myley's Brother.

this is very late (sorry!) but no, it's standard tuning. basically im playing in E shape (i hope you know what that is...) and the chords throughout the whole song (just in different order) is E Asus B C#m a high E chord and then for the bridge i made up chords.
