  • Great Thanx :)

  • how long is that hand wrap?

  • thats a wrap......!

  • I needed a wrap between the fingers because I got mma gloves for my heavy bad but would a professional mma fighter wrap their hands like this? Or should they use a wrap with open palms?

  • there are many ways to tie hand wraps right? my friend tied his in a different way.

  • are these things really necessary for training? I've been punching hard, concrete, walls with my bare hands for a long time now and I've never gotten seriously injured before.

  • @smbz821 It's always good to be cautious because one injury can take you weeks or maybe even months back. And all those wrist injuries only add up. They're cheap and all professionals use them. So I guess they're pretty necessary.

  • @Semikindless I got Tapout Hand wraps. They're smaller than the ones in the video. Is it ok if I do most of it but don't wrap it in between the fingers? They're small and I can't do everything in the video.

  • @yozamier54 It's funny though, my wraps are too long lols. I can do everything in this vid and the same thing like half the way again. I just wrap the extra around my wrists. Maybe you should get longer wraps. You tie between fingers not to bruise them and not to let the wrap slip off your knuckles cuz that can happen.

  • @Semikindless Yeah I should. My parents got my crappy hand wraps lol.

  • @slipknot361 4m

  • At the end the guy was holding his hand like:

"Damn! How come mine never looks as good as this?"

  • very good help thanks =)

  • some people say that wraping the thumb is a bad technique

  • @jin7210 bu wouldnt your thumb snap back and it could fracture?

  • Thanks for the vid

  • Comment removed

  • press 2 for the wrapping

  • thank you very helpful

  • hey i need some advice, im a south paw and im always hitting the heavy bag when i go to the gym. Recently the bottom of my middle knuckle has been hurting from my left hand. I use 180 in wraps and 16 oz gloves. I recently cut a piece of those mexican hand wraps and put them on top of my knuckles and i just roll the 180 wraps around it, it works a lil bit better but i still get some pain. Any suggestions

  • thank you this was very usefull friend

  • wow long wrap

  • I wana start boxing and my friend gave me some free hand wraps and he said to start hitting the heavy bag with them. Is this good, or do i need gloves on top?

  • @NiponKen you need to have gloves on top unless you have strong knuckles

  • yeah need to get a guide for shorter wraps

  • @silverbullet174 same thing but if u can you really should get the 180cm wraps.

  • @Bignube14 180 inch

  • with that longass wrap I can tie my whole body lmao.

  • my wraps arent long enough how can i wrap them please?

  • @KiLLxDoZeR

    get longer wraps

  • My wraps have 78 inches. Very short but i got used to them in time :P.

  • Thx man

  • thanks

  • @EliteG101 wow keep it up pretty soon you'll be the coolest kid in the whole school

  • this is the way i wrap my hands, nice one :)

  • you are hands down one of the few men i trust in boxing tips

  • What's the length on the wraps?

  • @FizzyTexas probably 180in

  • @Jordan4139 That's what i thought, can never be too sure though.

  • @FizzyTexas 180inch hand wraps were used for this video

  • boxing doesn't cause brain .......... things.

  • @Regnomus it doesnt cause drain bamage

  • @Regnomus he said sprain...

  • @Regnomus i train boxing and somtimes my brain talkin to me something diffrent:)

  • @Regnomus hahaha :D " Protect your wrist because that's your main ehm, eeh thing "

  • whats up with the volume

  • it didnt look very tight..

although saying that he probably tied them better than i usually do, as mine usually end up coming off... :L

  • @Ostrasize How does my youtube account have anything to do with my sexuality? Anyways, nice comeback <.<

  • @Ostrasize have you two idiots seriously been arguing for 8 months?

  • @Madorem No, he replied once.

  • @555EnterNameHere666 your youtube account is a child molester

  • i dont do it this way,you palm should be free, not wraped up

  • @pacholito24 why is that?

  • @suedoplet well imo you should be able to grab something when u make a fist, when u wrap your palm up you block the circulation as well

  • @pacholito24 but aren't you supposed to just firmly grip the rap underneath instead of possibly getting a sweating hand then your fingers will slip around your palm but still i do agree with your point but i really don't know what to think

  • @suedoplet i do it it as i said cause i cant get a grip if i do it any other way so...but i have friends that do it this way and they say its fine, well its a personall choice :)

  • My wraps are 5m I think (200") and there's no way I could do all that wrapping. I'd run out by the time I was going between my little and middle fingers....

  • @mankillsquare i have the same problem, my hands are huge and no wrap i have ever bought has been enough.

  • @TaeIeon My hands aren't huge, quite small really, but 5m is about right for getting through all the fingers, round the thumb, over the knuckles a couple of times and round the wrist a few at the start and then end. can't imagine managing it with anything shorter...

  • @TaeIeon get the 180" ones

  • @Ostrasize hes not only a former pro, but he fought against lewis for the belt in '96 i think.(sorry for my bad english).cheers man

  • How about Margarito's hand wraps ?!? ... how do you put cement inside the hands ?!?

  • how many inches is the roll? itried with 108 and i didnt have enough

  • @Gidenkidenk 210" is what hes likely using. usually 108 -120" is considered "junior" i havent seen 108" in a while.

  • @ahmedjayy yeah i researched and found out that 108 is for smaller hands but, oh well, ill just wear em out

  • QUESTION: Is it advisable to punch the bag just with the handwrap, or do you advice (or somebody with experience arround here) that I get globes also ? Thanks

  • @menonfire12 i would get gloves if your hitting bag's the only time i dont wear gloves is when hitting the speed bag cos if you hit the bag's with no gloves you can still cut your self and some boxing gyms dont like it when you hit the bags with out gloves so best to get some

  • Yesterday was my first training session of boxing. Hurt my wrist a little and can see that wrapping would help that.

    Nice one, very useful. Thanks.

  • Im sure the video man says: go away im filming at 1:21

  • nice explanations, good shooting angle. the speaker has a pro look, very trusty. the final test-punch really shows (to a newbie like myself, at least) that this guy knows what he's talking about. thumb up and thx for the useful vid!

    @666

    grow up

  • @Ostrasize no kidding right? the guy watches the video first, then talks crap. rofl the usual expert village criticism.

  • thank you so much!!!

  • what is the length of that hand-wrap?

  • those wraps are long, i tried that with mine and i ran out before i finished the knuckles. i'm gonna have to improvise

  • @CoffeeBeatsTea ya you have 108" ??

  • @rhodium1233 yeah

  • @CoffeeBeatsTea Ya same here I have 108" everlast amateur wraps. I'm actually going to buy the 180" ones online since I can't find them anywhere in local stores. I have also a improvised wrap although I don't find it gives me enough knuckle to wrist ratio. I recommend if you're a strong hitter and plan on training for years to come that you get the 180"

  • this style of wrapping is very comfortable and snug at the same time. i really like it

  • in this thing??

  • @tristmando Yes they are, however, I do recommend buying more then one, because after several times of use, and gallons of sweat they aren't as elastic as they are when you first buy them.

  • is being tall an advantage in a fight?

  • @kylerdamion It depends, if you have a long range due to your height it can be an advantage if you use it. However, on the ground (this is just what I have found) it is more advantageous to be smaller than your opponent.

  • @animerawxer12 yeah im 5'8.5 and i just turned 15 and my reach is 6 feet even. i have gorrilla arms and im tall for my age too

  • @kylerdamion 5'8.5 is very short for being 15 i remember when i was 14 i was 6'0

  • @znile1 actually 5'8.5 is above average height for 15 douchbag, get your facts straight

  • Very informative, Thankyou

  • 180 centrimetros!

  • disculpame vendas,,,,,,,,,,,,13lank.

  • hola!!! ojala y me puedas contestar en español.mi comentario es el siguiente me puedes decir de que medidas son las cintas ya que compre unas y no me dan tantas vueltas como tu??? saludos y gracias por tu ayuda y video .........13lank.

  • For anyone in UK, Sports Direct havea pair of 180" for only 2 quid.

I picked mine up today and then searched for how to apply 'em :L

  • @m3xxikan ebay

  • the 108 wraps are too small for this. 180" are the best choice for wrapping your hand and wrist up.

  • @m3xxikan store

  • Whats the length of those

  • 180 are mexican style handwraps arent they? or someshit like that

  • mm i was trying to do the left one because am a beginner and my coach told me to do it but i forgot and now i was looking at this video and is beautiful but the left hand is not the same

  • Any differences on hand wrapping for mixed martial arts? They definitely punch but also grasp for submission moves and wear different size gloves.

  • Mine are short, where can I get long ones. Any sport store.

  • @victhekid1 i just bought mine at wal-mart the everlast hand wraps there pretty good bro

  • how long are those hand wraps...mine was too short

  • @ENRIQUEGOITIA

I did mine and its the same lenght and i have the longest one available at my gym wich is 4.5 meters but I have a weak wrist and thumb so thats why i use those :P

but anyway pretty sure its 4.5 meters.

  • Is it alright if your able to bend you hand little near the wrist?

  • @shatrack yes

  • How long was that rap?

  • @IItsMeRelapse 180"

  • "its very important to protect the wrist because obviously thats your main......ah....thing"

Thats conclusive proof boxing causes brain damage hahaha

  • im new to boxing i dont take lessons or anything but i wrapped my hands this way and my right hand the 2nd set of knuckles were all bleeding after 5 minutes, should i get gloves as well?

  • @Mayistabyou12 of course man.If you have a punching bag you HAVE to have gloves. You don't hit the bag unless you have gloves. You can hit without gloves if you don't use strength but just technique.

  • @Mayistabyou12 yes u need them im not a boxer but i sue my bag daily big diference

  • @Mayistabyou12 Get gloves, but don't waist time with "heavy bag gloves" Get a set of 16oz sparring gloves, I find its MUCH more comfortable for long sessions of hitting, where with "heavy bag gloves (VERY little padding)" even with good wraps you can bruise knuckle with strong punches.

If you want to get good, join a club / boxing gym, or mma gym that offers boxing. Once you learn good technique and have decent cardio, Sparring will make you GOOD

  • @Mayistabyou12 Yeah, wraps are just to support the wrist and offer extra protection to your knuckles, Bag mitts or sparring gloves are best.

  • Rival sells 200's...

    google rival boxing gear....

  • Thanx for the info. Good job. Keep posting Vids.

  • nice explanation, good job...

  • this way of wrapping sort of combines boxing and thai boxing wrap styles

  • @MsRajnikanth suck it up

  • Hi, could you please tell me what`s the length of the hand wrap you`ve used in this particular video? Thank you. By the way your videos are really good it`s a shame i live in the UK so there is not much chance i`ll ever be able to get you to be my coach. Anyway, thanks for uploading these videos. Z

  • @zk2514 Usually most people use Mexican Style 180" handwraps... perfect length.

  • thanks man this was well explained and easy to follow.

  • around ur wrist cos thats ur main main uh main uh thing lols hes definitely a boxer

  • It you got short ones start with the pinky, focus on just your knuckles and wrist, and try to fins some longer ones. Shorter ones are usually just for screwing around on a bag, not sparring or boxing.

  • are those 108" or 180" wraps? wraps differ in length...using 108" wraps will not quite wrap me as per this...

  • this wraping is for muay thai

  • "its obviously your main...... ... thing"

rofl the usual expert village explanation

  • @555EnterNameHere666

Hahaha I sure learned about the importance of the wrist........thing......

  • @555EnterNameHere666 he was like "your main thing" Shrug

  • @555EnterNameHere666

    fuck you idiot

this guy is trying to help, i like his videos

  • @555EnterNameHere666 Also he said later that he was hungover that day, he didn't know these were going on the internet lol.

  • are those long wraps? because i can onyl find short raps and i dont think they are long enough to do that technique

  • am using this technique

  • wow first useful thing from ''expert'' village

  • Thank you sir!

  • I bought them too short.. but then I just have to wrap them around around my wrist and knuckles a couple of times less than you.. it works fine acutally

  • thank you. helped me a lot.

  • Should have wrapped my hand before I got angry and punched my car(traffic ticket) , I ended up with a boxer fracture. X_X

  • congratulations.

  • ... your main??? thing??? You are a boxer and you do not know you need to protect it because it takes a lot of the heavy damage. You can break your wrist and end your career if you do not wrap your wrist to match your hand size. >.>

  • dude...that's justine fortune...pacman's former conditioning coach! one of the best!

  • Which brand for wraps is better Everlast or Title?

  • @awake46 i use everlast, mine dont really stretch too much though

  • Thank you

  • thx guys for the video

  • thanks mate this is good for beginners

  • why do my fingers hurt while punching it are they sore or sumthing plz help

  • You need to get Mexican Style hand wraps. They are stretchy and usually longer. Look at the length when you buy your hand wraps. The basic Everlast hand wrap is only 108 inches. That is not long enough to wrap your hand like in this tutorial. Look for something along 128 inches and I know you will be able to wrap your hands perfectly!

  • @rikkisimmons 128 will not do u need at least 180 and there are everlast handwraps for 180

  • you need to wrap ur thumb at least 2-3 times

  • Nice tutorial

  • Thx for help.. this is the best video-demonstration

  • My EVERLAST hand wraps look identical to the ones in the video but they are nowhere near long enough to be wrapped as many times as shown in the video.

  • Same here Ibex333. I can barely get them around 3 times wrists and knuckles and between fingers :S

  • @ibex333 there are a couple of standard lengths, I think he was using the 180 inch wraps which are way longer than the other standard which is 108 inches.

  • great thanks

  • This guys great and his advice is brilliant thanks :)

  • a seventh grade teacher in my school dosent think violence solves things but if you realy think that she has some boxing gloves lol

  • It doesn't really care how to do it, the most important is that your nuckels are done, your thumb and your pulse

  • I use elastic cuz then i can tie has hard as i want without getting a pain in my fingers.

  • what do you prefer, gel gloves or wraps? pros and cons if you can:)

  • @moxbad i normally use both, is that bad?.. just using my gloves i hurt my wrists a lot.

  • Hey, iv seen 2 diferent types of wraps, elastic and cotton, any recomendations?

  • elastic is the best

  • hwo come theres no knuckle pad

  • How long are these wraps?

  • help pls.....i only 14 and i have smaller hand.....what a size should i buy???

  • a medium caz u need to have safety on ur wrist

  • i dont think it really maters what size, if you have left over jsut wrap it around your wrist more

  • @Adamkooooooo normal size - 180. just wrap it more around the wrist and knuckles after ending the normal wrap until you run out.

  • They cut out the last part where Nazim Richardson storms in and starts crying that the wraps are illegal and need to be done over again.

  • love the shirt!!!

  • GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAL
