Ok... Doing that consistently will damage your rearend. sorry. :) One 10 second burnout may not damage it horribly, but doing it consisently will. Nice burnout though, and nice car. :)
Explain what he will damage? I have done hundreds of burnouts and hard launches on drag radials in my car (2004 GT with the same 8.8" rear end) and am still on my stock differential and axles. I put in 3.73 gears at about 10k but am now at 50k with no issues. Of course, I am taking a risk with sticky tires and 28 spline axles, but that has more to do with the launch than the burnout (used to heat the tires). Besides, the rebuild kit is only $30 or so for the stock diff.
I need to get some videos of my gt 06 soon.. inspiring lol

Good way to trash your rear end... nice car, though.

The only thing he is trashing are his tires. A 10 second burnout is not going to damage his rear end.
