As to what could be done to solve the problems of Gary, I have a unique solution - cut federal and state funding down to zero. I expect once the profit motive for the unions and the Democrats is gone, they'd eventually venture elsewhere. Then you could start rebuilding the local industry..

This was funny! I grew up in Gary. I still remember the beautiful walk through her park, holding my mother's hand to visit the Welfare Office, sharing my house with 1 inch size beetles, and all the houses that burnt down in my neighborhood. If you knew anything about Pulaski, then you'd know that it is smaller than Gary, and the town is home to MS-13, and the Pulaski Bloods(Formed from visiting gang members from the Holly Hood Blood set). I have to admit that the video has a sense of humor, but it was in poor taste. Gary is an example of tragedy,not humor. Natually the citizens cannot be proud of what it looks like, however there are still some pretty decent people who live there. Unfortunately the people of power, money and influence don't seem to be able to work together well. This is demonstrated when the city council has meetings.They make a public spectacle of themselves for the world to see by behaving in outlandish ways.

I live in Gary (though not from here) and thought this was funny as hell. I did notice they didn't go past 11th on Broadway which was probably smart but even still our downtown is messed up. The best looking part of Gary they showed with the train station and everthing around that.
We need to take what these fruitcakes have done into account and do better for our city.
If we do better we wouldn't have parodies like this about the G. I love it here want to be here when we turn it around.
