This song is very truly associated with anyone lost at sea and not just the Titanic, although the Titanic did make it more 'famous'. As a Newfoundlander, I cannot count how many times I have heard this growing up. There is a belief that at the near moment of death you are closer to God and Heaven than ever. They played this at my uncle and cousins 'funeral' after they were lost after a bad storm. Thank you for bringing this to the mainstream. This a beautiful song!!!
