I am gonna have BUB 7 True Duals installed with the short M-Thunder baffles at the exit end of the Head Pipes with the stock baffles removed. Do you know how loud they will sound?
sounds great, I have them in my 03 softail, and soon my 04 roadglide. all the sound of a harley and torque to boot. we lost a few hp up top over the open pipes, but the 9-23 lbs of torque it has gained in the 1700-5500 rpm range outshines it. by and far worth every penny you pay. I cannot say enough good things about them. even have one in a go kart pipe for un-muffled tracks that are short. you cannot go wrong, open/drag pipe riders will gain so much torque they will swear they got a new cam.
I went to my dealer last year to get new exhaust pipes for my Norton. He went berserk, stuck one pipe up my backside, and one down my throat. To this day I'm completely baffled.
not impressed i got mine today and installed them with high expectations and i was very disapointed i have a 2001 dresser with rinehart true duals, took out the baffles in the muffler and it wasnt what i expected
Got the Rinehart TDs, removed the baffles, and put the BC Thunder baffles. F&%@ Yeah!!! They sound great compared to any other newer model HD Bagger. Thanks for the info.
What about shortening the rinehart baffle after the thunder baffle is installed in the head pipe? Thought about cutting half of it off and reinstalling it for a deeper but not to much louder tone. Anyone tried this?
oh yeah, and the most noticable thing - you filmed this outside, not in a garage where the sound gets deeper while bouncing off the walls. that's what is most impressive. so either you can do some tricky sound effects with your camera, or your ride sounds like what everyone wants theirs to (including me!).
Thanks! That is just the way she sounds. Believe me I would have no idea how to do camera tricks. I'm surprised I even know how to download it on my PC.LOL. Big City Thunder really helped my bike sound like a Harley should.

Lost no torque or horse power. Runs the same

Did you lose any torque or HP with these baffles over the stock ones? How about on down shifting - is there a lot of backfires or not?

SE's?? Mine are the Rinehart true duals. But they should work for the slip ons.
drrandall1 3 years ago
can you put the big thunder baffles into a set of rinehart slip ons like you did to the SE's?

I have the HD Race Tuner. Take the Rinehart baffles out and install the Big City Thunders in the head pipe and the rumble is great!
