Oh yes, the "wavy hand" gesture...

Mr. Fox looks like he's fanning himself.

Beaver's son looks like he's mimicing salmon swimming upstream.

Mrs. Fox does it like needles on a seismograph.

So when it comes to doing the wavy hand gesture, they're all...(wavy hand gesture)...different! :)

@BobHershey I think it to imply a slight... OFF-ness of them being different, like being crazy, mentally challenged, or something.
