This piece, played by many quite badly, is not easy to play well. This young man is a real talent. Intonation and tempo are immaculate. He offers a little of his own interpretation which I think is wonderful. He has a very promising future. Bravo!

I disagree. Your already an artist. Perhaps my opinion is irrelevant as I am only Grade 9 RCM but this performance Is truey remarkable. The opneing chords and string crosses must be difficult to play in tune.

You often stand like Menuhin: not "looking" the violin but "listening" to the layering musicality (=loose control) (like 5:18 -> 5:20) : this is where time becomes yours. This chaconne is the best lecture since Yehudi: it is modern, colored, layered, slow, and has a pretty unique signature. You should try this torture: at training, never look at the violin until something goes wrong, then look.(or simply dont care about what I say!). I am eager to listen to it in a few years. Bravo again!

its seems like the bach chaconne is really popular. But to me, it just doesn't sound that good. I mean, the beginning sounds interesting, but in the middle, it's just plain notes that are boring. Is there a reason that it's so popular among talented violin players?

I do not have any idea about playing violins. But, it also has seemed to me that it is extremely difficult to play it. I like how it sounds. The violin alone "fills the space you are".

very well indeed. I just suggest play it a bit slower, just a bit. make it more personal when it comes to tempo.. I never believe one can play bach partitas and sonatas with a metronomic speed after all.. the techniques, nuances and intonation were absolutely perfect.. good luck and I'm envious to you ;)

Beautiful music. Unfortunately the recording equipment was bad! It gives your video a lot of scrapping noise which is awful to listen to! Otherwise, your performance is nice.
you have great ability and to perform a difficult piece such as that in presence of public is a great feat. one thing i would suggest is to check your chinrest or shoulderrest as your neck seems to bend according to the violin, when the violin should actually suit you. Yea, i have also this problem and it is hard to fix but once adjusted will make playing much enjoyable. i might be mistaken but i got that from lookin at th video. however, very great work and sound!!!
idk, like when i think about heifetz, his rendition of chaccone, brahms violin concerto in d, or the tchaikvosky violin concerto in d-maj always comes to mind. i wonder if heifetz ever played all the bach partitas and sonatas. hm. oh yeah, man, like i heard static on the background so like i wasnt able to hear that awesome sound. :-( you should play the double presto sonata! thats my favorite then the prelude!

I play this too and I have to see you play it very well, very clean in all your double chords, your bow arm is very nice, and the interpretation is quite nice, different than recordings I've heard but it's very good! Keep going!

One small thing though, I would personally tune myself while facing the audience, I was almost pissed at you in the first few seconds for not looking at the audience... Anyway, minor thing :)

I do like Heifetz, but he did not inspire me or influnce my playing, except for the first note of the major part of the chaconne. Other then that i consider Heifetz great, but recommend

I do not have any idea about playing violins. But, it also has seemed to me that it is extremely difficult to play it. I like how it sounds. The violin alone "fills the space you are".

thanks for the prompt response. now, one advice, just a little one... stay away from this "Youtube". I like it just to hear music while I am reading the news or checking the email. sometimes I want to watch the musicians do their thing. Still, this can get addictive and takes much of necessary time (like school work) take care and the best on your music.

wow, not satisfied? well, someone choreographed this piece to me and other dancers. Then I was just concerned about steps now after listining to it many times I still get a thrill. What was Bach thinking? Sounds like vivaldi's seasons? But the beginning is lovely...and then he goes back at the end? Why you selected for your reportoire?

I am shure that, to be danced, this piece has to be played faster. ...twice faster.
This piece is the center of his Solo sonatas. I chose it because it represents the biggest violin solo work ever written to me.

very well indeed. I just suggest play it a bit slower, just a bit. make it more personal when it comes to tempo.. I never believe one can play bach partitas and sonatas with a metronomic speed after all.. the techniques, nuances and intonation were absolutely perfect.. good luck and I'm envious to you ;)

Bravo. I hadn't intended to listen to the end (just another wunderkind I thought) but you gripped my attention with a thoughtful and original interpretation. Lyrical playing with beautiful tone and good intonation. This won't be your last word on this masterwork but bravo and thank you.

Beautiful music. Unfortunately the recording equipment was bad! It gives your video a lot of scrapping noise which is awful to listen to! Otherwise, your performance is nice.

you have great ability and to perform a difficult piece such as that in presence of public is a great feat. one thing i would suggest is to check your chinrest or shoulderrest as your neck seems to bend according to the violin, when the violin should actually suit you. Yea, i have also this problem and it is hard to fix but once adjusted will make playing much enjoyable. i might be mistaken but i got that from lookin at th video. however, very great work and sound!!!

idk, like when i think about heifetz, his rendition of chaccone, brahms violin concerto in d, or the tchaikvosky violin concerto in d-maj always comes to mind. i wonder if heifetz ever played all the bach partitas and sonatas. hm. oh yeah, man, like i heard static on the background so like i wasnt able to hear that awesome sound. :-( you should play the double presto sonata! thats my favorite then the prelude!

no problem! this is going to sound absurd, but i do not play violin sadly, but i am familar with the technicalalities when it comes to learning violin however. i want to play one so bad, but i decided to play trumpet.... bad move. violin is the devils instrunment! can you play the devils trill sonata?

I play this too and I have to see you play it very well, very clean in all your double chords, your bow arm is very nice, and the interpretation is quite nice, different than recordings I've heard but it's very good! Keep going!

One small thing though, I would personally tune myself while facing the audience, I was almost pissed at you in the first few seconds for not looking at the audience... Anyway, minor thing :)

I'm curious if you hear it as well. I'm wondering if it could be the bow catching the strings... but the camera wouldn't pick that up at such a distance.
I believe it happens most often during a vibrato.

Now YOU are a true talent. All of those kids who have better technique than you don't matter bc they don't play musically. you play musically, it's actually interesting to listen to you. That is true talent. Best Bach I've heard from anyone younger than 30

I do like Heifetz, but he did not inspire me or influnce my playing, except for the first note of the major part of the chaconne. Other then that i consider Heifetz great, but recommend
listening to Szeryng.
