  • THE LAST PART, THAT SEEMS TO HAVE YOUR HAND WILL PROP IT SEEMS THAT THE VIOLIN IS A PART OF YOUR BODY INCREDIBLE

  • what a fantastic sound..im not as nearly good haha my last name is melnyk

  • amazing..you make it look easy

  • I love the way you play Tymur!

  • Nice, dude. As others have said here you resemble Menuhin at times with regards to style, you should study him.

  • I really like this. In what year was it recorded? Is it available on a C.D.?

  • very nicely played....my favourite has always been kremer interpretation, but i like the way you play it very fresh...

  • You have mad skills! You recording? I'm buying!

  • @violatione Thanks. Amazon me and you will find a CD ^^

  • Thanks man! I'm buying it today!

  • I loved your performance, thank you.

  • Wow!!!.... he plays the beginning as Bach wrote: -The entire chords-; not like other versions where you can hear the first chord and then only the A string, and etc...

    Amazing performance.

    Thanks for this video.

  • brilliant, but where the hell is the second part???

  • sexy!

  • This piece, played by many quite badly, is not easy to play well. This young man is a real talent. Intonation and tempo are immaculate. He offers a little of his own interpretation which I think is wonderful. He has a very promising future. Bravo!

  • supe j'adore!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wonder wut violin hes playing on

  • its beautiful truly wonderful better than i can play it right now

  • Excelente interpretación !

  • this is one of favorite videos i just wish that it was louder

  • Fine playing, too be sure.

  • What's the correct pronunciation of his name? Is he Ukrainian or Russian?

  • I've seen this video so many times..it's great :) but where's the 2nd part? i'm so sad I can't find it anymore..

  • Lol I've heard him play this piece live and both parts at my camp JVL SSPA, it was extraordinary. BTW Tymur it's me Daniel Temnik from camp the guy thats performing summer with David =]

  • That's about the greatest thing I've ever seen/heard

  • You are a great violinist.....a really wish you the best...keep playing...!!!

  • bravo very good job!Although i dont understand why many people playing a baroque music with a romantic style, you are playing very good

  • wow.

  • i sincerely wish that you will be another yehudi or jascha.well done!

  • You remind me of my professor Yaroslav who played this for me yesterday! It's a beautiful piece, and you have clearly put a lot of feeling into it - you are well on your way to becoming an artist.

  • I disagree. Your already an artist. Perhaps my opinion is irrelevant as I am only Grade 9 RCM but this performance Is truey remarkable. The opneing chords and string crosses must be difficult to play in tune.

  • how old are you here?

  • youre so passionate. this touches me.

  • Very Good ..

Im Learning This At The Moment.

How Long Did It Take You To Learn It? .. x

  • Itzhak Perlman in the making!

  • Beautiful playing!

  • wonderfull...

  • In the past, I thought that the performance made by Gidon Kremer is only the brightest. But I was wrong. Your performance is incredible too. this is my first time to watch someone playing this excellent piece. i wish to listen to it in a concert hall in the future. thanks for your play. good luck from japan.

  • I love this performance!! I have it as one of my favorites!! You seem so calm and comfortable!! Do you do anything special to get mentally prepared for your performances? (Watch my video- Lalo Symphonie Espagnole- Ashley Martin!)

  • My fish didn't like it though.

  • My dog liked it.

  • Damn, you have good body control...your bow strokes are beautiful. Do you work out?

My arm just won't do that lol

  • I just started working on this piece with my teacher and I love it! You're interpretation of this piece is amazing! I'm trying to model my style of this piece after this performance. good job!

  • can i know how much your violin cost? i live in asia,i dont get these price range of violin here and is too too expensive for me -_-

  • this is the best piece ever written for violin

  • your violin sounds good? Do you think Czech violin is good, i live in asia, theres plenty of China made violin, but it is terrible.I saw a Czech Violin on a catalouge, but i dont have a chance to test it as the shop need to order from the agent~what do you think about cezch made vilin?its Dvorak Violin

  • nice playing~ but the recorder AUdio quality bad-_-

  • wow., ur'e realLy gud, im tryin out my luck to play this piece., im stuck., ahh, how long hav u been playin.,? i really like the tone of ur violin., it's like ranging between baroque and romantic tuning., i hope i can be like u., ahuhuhu., if i only have a teacher to guide me., anyway do u have a friendster account.,? ok, gudluck.,

  • I think I met you before..what a small world.Does your girlfriend have beautiful balck hair? If it is too private, you can just ignore this question:)I was just wondering if you were the one I met.You play really beautifully! I like your interpretation.

  • is there a name for the technique you used for arpeggios in the end of the video. In the world of guitars we have almost the same and it's called sweeping... I'm just curious. Also i'd like to try to play violin someday :)

  • ...

  • You are amazing! The first time I ever heard this piece was actually with a piano, cello, and violin version performed by the Eroica Trio (it's amazing!)... I was actually looking for their performance but then stumbled upon your performance and of course Heifetz... This is one of my favorite pieces... and to hear it only be played on a violin... omg... it gave me chills the whole time.... And I love that you respond to those who comment on your videos... When WILL you be coming to LA?

  • OMG i love it, youre really good !

you should try the concerto in E minor of mendelssohn with an orchestra !

Now THAT would be most impressive !

  • This is seriously good. Actually as good as Heifetz, which I so far held as my favorite in interpreting this piece, the deepest stuff I know.

    I must be dreaming.

  • come to my country and play to me.

  • Zamechatel'noe ispolnenie!

Odno malen'koe zamechanie: Tymur, ja posmotrela Vashu webpage, i kak designer posovetovala by Vam izmenit' ploho-chitaemyj i ne slishkom krasivyj shrift :)

  • Spasibo. O vashem savete ia podumaiu, deistvitelno shrift uzhe staromoden...

  • Ne to chtoby staromoden, prosto ploho chitaetsya, a eshe i obramlen kaemochkoj

  • as what my teacher told me the best time to practice is when you don't like to practice therefore one has to always practice. you are just amazing, i enjoyed all your videos. when will be your concert in los angeles? i sure wont miss that day. thanks.

  • HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU PRACTICE IN A DAY?

  • Oh my God, I mean ....ha, ha, "this fellow or guy

    or man..., Sorry .

  • I wil to try to translate for you.

"Yes, The gay is terrific, in one part of the performance he plays an armonic..(flagelot I thnik..), but he plays really goood the piece, despite is one of the most dificult of all, (perhaps he means to the Bach Sonates or Partitas)

"Eyy you gay play very well...Tymur" (and I think the same...)

  • I played this a few years ago, the tuning up at the beginning was harder than the piece!

  • Bravo! I can only play the slower parts of the piece. Even so, I am content at hearing how beautiful it is...

  • It(He,She) touches super good ..... almost ningun mistake....

In spite of the fact that this work is really difficult to touch .... and of interpreting

You touch very good Mr. Tymur

  • Thank you!

  • Bravo! Really excellent. I think that you are much better than you think. This is brilliant.

Release your control on the final fast part.

  • Thank you! I will consider your advice.

  • You often stand like Menuhin: not "looking" the violin but "listening" to the layering musicality (=loose control) (like 5:18 -> 5:20) : this is where time becomes yours. This chaconne is the best lecture since Yehudi: it is modern, colored, layered, slow, and has a pretty unique signature. You should try this torture: at training, never look at the violin until something goes wrong, then look.(or simply dont care about what I say!). I am eager to listen to it in a few years. Bravo again!

  • Sii....el kompare e seko,....en una part le sale un armoniko.....pro toka super bn la obra.....a pesar d k es una de las mas dificies de todas :D

    Tokai b loko Tymur

  • Among so many other good things I wanted to say, you use your bow really well. Almost too well it makes your bow a lot shorter!

  • Thank you... i dream of a longer bow quite often...^^

  • masterfully done

    thank you

  • What is that sound in the background that sounds like running water?! it's getting in my way of listening to this master play.

  • I presume it's the camera engine.

  • that's the echo. the final sound quality is due to some digital processing of the file itself.

Best performance of the piece I've heard so far.

  • i love talented children :D. I live in newyork and most of the youngsters here are in gangs and cause a lot of crimes.

  • wow i really like this interpretation

  • When did you start playing vioin?

I wish I can play it like you one day.

I've just started playing it for one year and I find it is difficult for me:( but I really like it. I am so envious!

  • Excellent playing...

What instrument were you playing at this concert?

  • I reaaaaaally like your arpeggios starting at 05:something... They are so well separated!

  • thank you, the technique and idea is from my

    techer, Prof. Frischenschlager.

  • Good vibrato! nice sound.

  • Eccellente. Just a question, did you play at cold or before it did you play others in the concert? (sorry about my bad english). And is piano helping you for simpathy sounds effect?

    Grazie ;-)

  • Oh wow, I'd put this interpretation right up there with Hahn's. Amazing.

  • Hahn....well thank you!

  • Wow. I am a violinist as well. This is a SICK interpretation of this piece. Well done. Love it.

  • thank you!

  • What's wrong with his E-string? It sounds like something's wrong with his E-string.

  • oh lol nvm, i listened a little more into the song.....it got interesting again :)

  • look i do not blame u at all!!! the same thing hapenned to me!! i got exited when i saw ur comment. =]

  • its seems like the bach chaconne is really popular. But to me, it just doesn't sound that good. I mean, the beginning sounds interesting, but in the middle, it's just plain notes that are boring. Is there a reason that it's so popular among talented violin players?

  • beacause is one of the most beautful piece for solo violin ever written

  • You should try listening to it more closely. It really is a profoundly beautiful piece of music. Pure melody.

  • dont know anything about the violin, tried once to play it. a bit too loud next to my ear :P but just wanted to let you know....I sat in front of my Computer and was simply amazed, music is good, when people get a connection to the piece an begin to dream...I did so...good job, go on!

  • You are awesome!

  • si hoy devo morir y lo ultimo que he escuchado es eso bienvenida sea la eternidad

  • Do you have girlfriend? ~_^ HAHA

  • yes.^^

  • Wow! Vienna? cool, music city, I think Vienna is a dog-eat-dog city (for music) I also think only play music on top people stay there.~_~

  • so you want to spend a whole life to play the violin? where are you from? US, UK ,or Europe.I think you look like from UK . Are you so famous in your country?

    hehe so many Question^_^.

  • Great performance! I thoroughly enjoyed your interpretation and musicality. I've competed at national and international levels- would you mind offering constructive criticism on my Bach g minor fugue? I did it in one take, so it's not perfect, but I'd appreciate any help you'd be willing to offer, particulary with respect to vibrato in a Baroque piece. Thanks so much in advance, and you are amazing!

  • Wow! 21 years old? you look like only 18 or 19. Did you play in the Japan at this time?

  • how old are you in the video?

    i'm practising bach chaconne now, but it's so difficult...and i'm only 15.

excuse me for my english, i'm spanish!

  • excellent!!

  • thank you!

  • I agree, amazing.

  • Thank You!

  • Amazing.

  • Thank You!!

  • a lot of dynamics.... full of emotions... but its kinda hard to play.... 5

  • thanks dear violinist... some people say that playing the chacconne by bach is kinda hard to do... well.... please make videos.. sonatas i prefer.... hihi...

  • Congratulations on the Best prize in Osaka!

    Happiness and successes!!!

  • excellent! although i'm personally not a fan of vibrato every second^^ but everyone has his style! good work anyways!

  • :O naja wenn es zwischen euch so ernst ist meinen segen hast du!!!! ;) bussi

  • Marry me Tymur, so handsome, so cute, I want to do nasty things with you all the time please, let me...:_O

  • a beautiful piece; beautifully played

  • thank you!

  • You are The Best!!!

  • very good.... whahahaha... sobrasaliente!!!! how i wish i can play violin like yours....

  • Wow..I am now learning ciaccona...I love your playing, very clean sound, very good technique, great righthand, everything.wow. I was searching you on google but did not get what I wanted to know. I wonder...whom you study with, which school you go to, and (excuse me) how old you are..Hope to see your reply. Keep a great career.

  • I do not have any idea about playing violins. But, it also has seemed to me that it is extremely difficult to play it. I like how it sounds. The violin alone "fills the space you are".

Many thanks for sharing you playings!

  • thanks for the prompt response. now, one advice, just a little one... stay away from this "Youtube". I like it just to hear music while I am reading the news or checking the email. sometimes I want to watch the musicians do their thing. Still, this can get addictive and takes much of necessary time (like school work) take care and the best on your music.

  • Wow. You sound wonderful! As only an amateur violinist (VERY amateur) I cannot give any constructive criticism, and I have only praise for your excellent playing! It's so wonderful! The music you produce... so breathtaking and magical...

  • wow, not satisfied? well, someone choreographed this piece to me and other dancers. Then I was just concerned about steps now after listining to it many times I still get a thrill. What was Bach thinking? Sounds like vivaldi's seasons? But the beginning is lovely...and then he goes back at the end? Why you selected for your reportoire?

  • I am shure that, to be danced, this piece has to be played faster. ...twice faster.

This piece is the center of his Solo sonatas. I chose it because it represents the biggest violin solo work ever written to me.

  • Hey Tymur! I think i saw you in walking mozarteum salzburg another day, I remember you because i have this video in my computer, its a great reference, very good playing. All the Best

  • Thank You!

Yes, i was at Mozarteum a couple of weeks ago...

    The world is so small!

  • very well indeed. I just suggest play it a bit slower, just a bit. make it more personal when it comes to tempo.. I never believe one can play bach partitas and sonatas with a metronomic speed after all.. the techniques, nuances and intonation were absolutely perfect.. good luck and I'm envious to you ;)

  • i am aspiring to be a violinist like you... tell me some tips on how can i play violin well. here is my acc. deathkill00008 at yahoo i am hoping for your advices and tips to play a violin. i find your performance very good... please give me an enlighten way to be a musician someday thanks

  • nice technique, you need so little bow to produce a nice tone 0.o

  • You're incredible. Extremely professional.

  • Bravo. I hadn't intended to listen to the end (just another wunderkind I thought) but you gripped my attention with a thoughtful and original interpretation. Lyrical playing with beautiful tone and good intonation. This won't be your last word on this masterwork but bravo and thank you.

  • Beautiful music. Unfortunately the recording equipment was bad! It gives your video a lot of scrapping noise which is awful to listen to! Otherwise, your performance is nice.

  • you have great ability and to perform a difficult piece such as that in presence of public is a great feat. one thing i would suggest is to check your chinrest or shoulderrest as your neck seems to bend according to the violin, when the violin should actually suit you. Yea, i have also this problem and it is hard to fix but once adjusted will make playing much enjoyable. i might be mistaken but i got that from lookin at th video. however, very great work and sound!!!

  • Thank you for your compliments and thank you for your advice.

I will consider what you have said.

  • did u play this? if so, i thought you were heifetz bc like the tempo sounded like his :-). this sounds good so far!

  • Thank you... It is funny how everyone here

    gives Heifetz's performance such an

    important historic value...

  • idk, like when i think about heifetz, his rendition of chaccone, brahms violin concerto in d, or the tchaikvosky violin concerto in d-maj always comes to mind. i wonder if heifetz ever played all the bach partitas and sonatas. hm. oh yeah, man, like i heard static on the background so like i wasnt able to hear that awesome sound. :-( you should play the double presto sonata! thats my favorite then the prelude!

  • no problem! this is going to sound absurd, but i do not play violin sadly, but i am familar with the technicalalities when it comes to learning violin however. i want to play one so bad, but i decided to play trumpet.... bad move. violin is the devils instrunment! can you play the devils trill sonata?

  • no, i didn't play that sonata yet, either do i think that i will dicate my time to it either. Talking about the devil: i will very soon upload my Paganini's Nel Cor...

  • Wow, Beautiful playing. I've been playing violin for 13 years and I am no where near the caliber that you at but I'll tell you what, you make me want to run and practice right now! I loved your interpretation and the passion within your playing!

  • thank you, i am happy to have inspired you!

  • Very nice...do u study in a music school??

  • I play this too and I have to see you play it very well, very clean in all your double chords, your bow arm is very nice, and the interpretation is quite nice, different than recordings I've heard but it's very good! Keep going!

(I've been playing violin about 8 years myself...) :p

  • One small thing though, I would personally tune myself while facing the audience, I was almost pissed at you in the first few seconds for not looking at the audience... Anyway, minor thing :)

  • thanks, useful comment!

  • thank you, i will!

  • Ahhh Bach. It doesn`t get any better than that. I am loving your videos. It`s great to see a fellow violinist succeed. Best of luck in everything you do. If you have a myspace let me know!

  • Your determination and dedication to performing the violin is so inspiring as i watch yr videos and read yr responses. thanks for sharing your videos with us. Looking forward to hearing more of you on youtube or if you'll be doing any recordings or tours will look out for you!

  • wow, thank you very much!

  • Great passion in your bow arm!

  • thank you

  • hmmmm,, An Amazing musician and very cute;)

  • ...^^

  • good job.

  • thanks!

  • you are AMAZING.

  • it's the music...

  • pretty!

    rattling though.

  • That's awesome, what's that sound in there though? It sounds like rattling.

  • hm...dunno. ...?

  • I'm curious if you hear it as well. I'm wondering if it could be the bow catching the strings... but the camera wouldn't pick that up at such a distance.

I believe it happens most often during a vibrato.

  • That was absolutely beautiful. You're an amazing violinist

  • q gonorreaaaaaa se da la garra

  • i wish i had ur talent ☻

  • very good!!!!

  • Now YOU are a true talent. All of those kids who have better technique than you don't matter bc they don't play musically. you play musically, it's actually interesting to listen to you. That is true talent. Best Bach I've heard from anyone younger than 30

  • wow, thanks!

  • you look younger than you are!!! ...and I absolutely adore the way you play =D

  • ^^

  • Your style really appeals to me, not to mention the fact that as far as I've gleaned (through your replies) you seem to be striving to become better and better...if you're this good now, who knows how good you'll be in 10 years' time? :) Congratulations, and best of luck!

  • Thank you. Well i hope i will get better, of course.

Bach is endless in quallity of performing.

  • this is an amazing performance

  • very very very very beautiful !!!it's very wonderful !!I love this piece I should work it...lol

very good job it's very beautiful like piece and you play it very good at violin !!

  • thank you very much!^^

  • Do you like Heifetz?

Because I think I've heard Heifetz in your playing,

both in this video and the other video of Vitali Chaccona Chaconne.

  • I do like Heifetz, but he did not inspire me or influnce my playing, except for the first note of the major part of the chaconne. Other then that i consider Heifetz great, but recommend

    listening to Szeryng.

  • oh sry i didn't know it was you playing.

  • Wonderful, Bach's my favorite. Good luck in all you do, you'll go far I'm sure. breamlute1016

  • you did a REALLY good job with your arrpegios, i rather enjoyed them. i'm currently working on this piece for my senior recital...and its yeah.... a pain to play =\
