  • W Pavarotti W Modena!!

  • @MrLuistena: Tenor voices, and for the fact, singers have different "colors", tessituras, and styles in their singing and must NEVER be compared-. Brown eyes and blue eyes are both beautiful and different, for that matter.

  • he is not on a microphone there. how is his voice carrying like that?

  • @babystinky He had a fabulous technique.

  • @babystinky This an answer to all who say that he could not sing wihout a mic!!He was 60 years old and his voice was still strong

  • probably the greatest voice ever, but that what he sang was not that what puccini composed ;-)

  • Even being an amateur video Pava could reach right thru that camera and tear out your heart with that voice! Thank you for sharing this!

  • Simply Devine!

  • I have no words for his toscas, corelli and pavarotti were the best cavaradossi ever.

  • @mrluistena I don`t know how you could compare the two..they are two totally different style tenors.

  • @NasalObstruction I do not compare then against each others vocal skills, I am actually defending their work on Tosca.

  • @mrluistena und diese technik---- ich schätze pavarotti sehr hoch ...

  • @mrluistena THE BEST placido domingo

  • @ellicantropo I would not be incline to say who is the best as this tenor or the other is the best depends on who is judging. It all has to do with your taste. I do not actually consider Mr Domingo´s voice good for the role of Mario Cavaradossi. I rather listen to Corelli, Carreras, Pavarotti and a few more. Regards.

  • @ellicantropo and you listen domingo!! we listen olso Pavarotti!"!!

  • Maestro tempi far too fast!

  • I was lucky enough to see dear Luciano at a solo performance in Dallas many years ago. How I would have loved to have seen him in a full opera.

Thank you for positing this video! The audio is excellent for a hand-held camera.

  • E il Gran Teatro del Liceu... che meraviglia! :) Grazie!

  • 1989-1995??

  • @PavarottiForever questo video è del 1996.. Ciao

  • @PavarottiForever

Dear PAVAROTTIFOREVER! this video was recorded september 12 1996 at the Academy of Music of Philadelphia. Tosca´s III act was part of the winners gala of the Pavarotti Competition 1995. I know all this details because I was singing the Carceriere. My name is Valeriano Lanchas. If you are interested in this material I have an audio of the entire III act. Tosca was Fiorenza Cedolins and Sciarrone was Eric Owens. The Pastore was a 12 years old Anthony Costanzo!

  • @The2627700 Dear Valeriano, Congratulations if you were there as The Carceriere. Question: It was Marco Armillatto de Conductor? I doubt it!

    Thanks!
