@ZimmermanHound it is just a rumor that Soros is funding the movement. the movement members practice full transparency and if Accounting is anything to go by we are funded BY the people FOR the people. don't believe the hype, man.
@QuietVuvuzela Occupy Wall Street was in the first stage, just as Tea Party movement something good. Then these movements all turn bad when the neo-conservative company-owned establishments took them over. In the Occupy Wall Street Mr. Soros is now the new guru and in the Tea Party movement people like Sarah Pallin, Michelle Bachman and Herman Cain are now leaders, which of course take the edge against FED, the big-corporation and neo-conservative (AIPAC) machine.
@AnonChopin Actually, These people are not fascists, they believe our GOVERNMENT is fascist and they are on the streets protesting for rights for ALL americans. Not just the rich corporate elite.

"True Democracy"? Isn't that 3 wolves and a lamb voting on what's for dinner? America WAS the greatest country in the world until you Socialists / Communists started to "Fundamentally Transform" it.
A bunch of clueless uneducated people that know nothing about the country they live in. Schools are no longer teaching about history, only touchy feely emotions.
@USAmericansWakeUp It's hurting it by making it feel like just another protest, just another nonprofit, just another activist group. There's very little editing and production of video that you can do before it fails the authenticity smell test. I mean seriously, this feels like an Exxon commercials where the voice at the end says "Exxon, working hard to power your democracy".
Google: "#OWS, The Other 98%, US Uncut & Rebuild the Dream: A Look at the Shoes That Didn't Drop"
@TheRoxist It's just people speaking to a camera with a little music behind it. I don't see how having a higher quality short video is harmful. I think it is beneficial to the movement. But we are all entitled to our own opinions
Damn, I really hate to be negative but this SUUUUUUCKS. Please, please, please do not push this video out there as representing occupy,
Why does it suck? It's slick, it's over-produced, it's Benetton ad, it's sounds scripted even though I'm sure it's not. It's VERY, VERY CORPORATE. Would not be at all surprised to find an Exxon logo and voice-over at the end.
I know you're hearts are in the right place, I know you worked hard on this, but it's going to hurt the movement.
I was treating this as a social movement, maybe because my Bachelor's is in Sociology. Then I visited their official livestream chat, to discover that it's all about 'new world order.' Their idea of free speech is to block from chat ANY opposing viewpoint as they discuss 'overthrow of this corrupt government'. With names like 'White Goddess, Wolf, and 666," I quickly discovered the driving force not what I thought. Explains the initial vagueness of the movement.
hollywood movies have made a very bad image of the american people and the world need know the real peoples of your country. My support <3 from Brazil.
@900DucatiSS My apologies, Mr "Get-a-job-hippies" is obviously more "learned" than myself. Especially considering your mind-blowing ability to completely and utterly skewer a fellow youtubers comment into oblivion with just a couple lines of text.
Since we're on the topic of just how "learned" you are, would you mind explaining to me how you came to the revelation that all these protesters are nothing more than jobless bums?
@CognitiveApprentice The revelation that these are predominately jobless bums comes from observation. I've seen them crapping and pissing all over lower Manhattan for a while now, if they had jobs they would have been fired by now.
There are actually 2 classes of idiot here: The Union paid thugs who return to hotels every night and are organizing the unemployable anarchist idiot class by day. They are running the show, the ones sleeping in the rain are just idiots being exploited by big labor.
@900DucatiSS Ah, my mistake. I had not counted on the possibility that you'd be using 'observation' to make your argument. I assume you went down and visited the protest? You must have seen all that "shitting" and "pissing" going on while you were down there too. You probably concluded that everybody down there are unemployable anarchists and paid union thugs, through your research?
Or, we can just recognize that you're a self-interested prick who hasn't a fucking clue what he's talking about.
@CognitiveApprentice YES, I HAVE VISITED THE "PROTEST". Jesus. Yes, I have seen shit and piss on the sidewalk, in the gutter and on the grass of a formally nice park. And yes, I have had interactions with SEIU Neanderthals and the paid Soros shills of MoveOn wanting to sign me up to do their bidding and read their patently false propaganda.
If you are not a paid union shill and you are involved in this you are a sucker.
@900DucatiSS Yea, not really. And I can see by your 'favorites' that you're not really interested in open minded discussions, only logically fallacious horseshit that supports what you already think you know. So, not really sure why I've replied to you as much as I have... I suppose I'll stop now.
@CognitiveApprentice You can't provide a logical, thought out rebuttal to anything I have written. Just asking me to deny reality and finally resorting to insults, Shocking. How completely unexpected from a lemming follower who whines that the isn't being taken seriously as he works to give millionaires and billionaires more money and power while he protests greed.... LOL.
@900DucatiSS "You can't provide a logical, thought out rebuttal to anything I have written." You're the one who is being illogical here bro. Even after I (and apparently a few others) explain their position, you can't help but twist that, put words in our mouths, and just outright straw man and ad hominem attack. You want us to make a rebuttal to your "claims?" Have you lost your mind? You can't make a rebuttal or have an intelligent conversation with an irrational person such as yourself.
@Nathan173AB I'm not your "bro" and that wasn't a rebuttal. You can't give me an intellegent counterargument because I am correct. That makes you either a lying shill for big labor or an insecure rube who likes to hop on bandwagons for a sense of belonging. My bet is on insecure rube looking for belonging in a mob to the point where you are willing be lead around by the nose bu the SEIU and the Tides foundation.
You can't have freedom and government at the same time, it is counterproductive and unrealistic. The role of governments everywhere is to conform people to meet up to THEIR expectations not yours.
I support the fact that people are standing up and saying enough is enough, but we have to think bigger. We don't need leaders, governments, politicians, we need each other, and we must learn to lead ourselves and our communities -- That is true freedom.
@TooBadAboutit That's not really true. Governments are put in place to form a functioning society for the sake of organization and so we don't regress into tribal warfare. Unfortunately, governments often get infiltrated and exploited, turning into a tool for tyrants as is the case with our government now. See what I'm saying? Government, in and of itself, is not the real problem.
@Nathan173AB Governments are an obsolete construct, designed to provide for an age where global communication does not exist, and resource scarcity cannot be eliminated through technology. That age is over.
@Nathan173AB A true civilized society does not need to be governed -- unless you're suggesting we're all uncivilized and can't function on our own. You can't expect someone to give you "Freedom" when you have given them full control over how to live your life.
People don't know how to solve their problems, that's why they look up to the Government. A well-educated and civilized society doesn't need government to solve their problems, they need access to resources and education.
@TooBadAboutit You missed my point. Sure, governments as we know them today are obsolete, but only in that manner. Government that serves as a means for people to organize themselves, not as an institution of authority, will always be around.
@TooBadAboutit I totally disagree. You guys are going to have to find something new. That's just a worn out libertarian/republiCON, anti-government talking point. We ARE the government. A "true civilized society" DOES have a government... of, by, and for the PEOPLE. A government is the way to get "access to resources and education" etc. etc. etc. ...that we otherwise wouldn't have access to. The problem is fascist, corporate influence and control of the government, not government itself.
@TooBadAboutit You absolutely CAN have freedom and government at the same. It is a move toward deregulation and "smaller" government that has allowed corporate wrong doing to flourish. Government exists to provide safety- to protect an environment in which individuals can pursue their happiness. It works to guarantee individual liberty by preventing others from doing harm. This is what we have drifted away from. Your Utopian world in which everyone is civilized and respectful does not exist.
A commercial sells something . This is not a commercial but an inspirational call to join the world wide revolution. Capitalism tends to make commodities out of movements of dissent and sell them back to those that would have joined modifying their energy into wearing a t shirt made by the very corporations that are protested against.
@900DucatiSS You're right, we'll never be able to defeat capitalism. Capitalism is so fucked up, it will defeat itself. Quite simply, it is unsustainable because it requires constant consumption of resources. It corrupts because only those with money can make a difference for better or for worse. It is anti-human because the primary motive is profit rather than the well-being of people.
@Nathan173AB That's what they said about Russia, and Germany, and Poland, and China, and Czechoslovakia and Lithuania, and on and on and on....And socialism/communism has failed there.
Amazingly you want to give governments more control over your lives. You want to give a corrupt cadre of imbeciles who make their living wasting other peoples money more power over your life.
You are just dead wrong: People will not work as hard or as efficiently for the state as they will for themselves.
@900DucatiSS Wow, way to put words in my mouth asshole. Where did I ever mention socialism or giving the government more control? I didn't. You're the typical short-sighted status-quo advocates who straw-man anyone who doesn't agree that capitalism is the perfect end-all and be-all system as a red commie socialist.
@Nathan173AB So why endorse this mob? You write that you are "protesting against institutions that make millions". Like George Soros? Or the SEIU? The people who are running this little mob are millionaires (without producing anything) sucker.
You make shit because that's what your skill set is worth. Your time is better spent coming up with some kind of plans and goals, rather then being angry at someone else spent their time coming up with plans and goals and then worked to fulfill them.
@900DucatiSS Occupy a job? Why don't you try occupying reality? Protesting against institutions that make millions and produce nothing while everyone else makes shit and provides a service is perfectly reasonable.
@900DucatiSS Come to think of it, it's people like you who sound like tyrannical commies. Think about it. You're the one telling everyone to go get to work and be a good little citizen.
@Nathan173AB Don't go to work if you don't want to; just don't expect me or the government to support you. Just don't expect to be able to use other peoples property. Just don't expect anyone other then your mommy and daddy to feed you. And don't expect to be treated like anything other then a parasite, because that's what you are.
@DaLilRocker Sure. Like the anarcho-communist Elliot “Smokey” Madison of the anarcho-communist People’s Law Collective who did the "The Civil Disobedience training" for this mob. Or the anarcho-communist Vlad Teichberg of the Glass Bead Collective who probably did this commercial. Or the anarcho-communist U.S. Day of Rage, to which Occupy Wall Street is connected...
Yeah, heard of em. They are working for the democrats, Soros and the unions now.
@DaLilRocker comrade, this may be possible, however, we need to take a broad united front with all lead by marxist-leninist theory, while liquidating the enemy and opposition. Soon you will see this coming into play.
Occupy wallstreet was started by AdBusters, funded by by George Soros' tides foundation. It's joined by MoveOn.org, funded by Soros. The Service Employees International Union, (SEIU) is running it in downtown NY. Telling people where to go, passing out food and propaganda. This "grass roots" mob was started by Soros and is being run by and for the benefit of the unions and the democrats.
These fools are working to help the democrats/unions/billionares consolidate power in the USA.
@lilgothicvampier It's pretty clear. Imagine you walked into a burger joint and said I wan't a burger with cheese and lettuce. And the server keeps saying "but what DO you want?!". Well I want a burger with cheese ma'am. "Yeah but WHAT DO YOU WANT!?"
@XoticMike Taxing equally, without loopholes that allow large corporations to avoid paying close to the same % of their income as the rest of us is all I'm asking. Well, not all I'm asking, but one of the things.
@XoticMike Actually, we need to stop competing and start collaborating. Working together is the only way we can fix the environmental problems which I am sorry to say are escalating and the corporations don't care about because it isnt profitable for their shareholders. You call it success, but 5 or 6 decades down the line it will amount to nothing if we cannot change (unless of course it's already too late).
@ZimmermanHound it is just a rumor that Soros is funding the movement. the movement members practice full transparency and if Accounting is anything to go by we are funded BY the people FOR the people. don't believe the hype, man.

Taxing success = fail.
Stop the government handouts to companies is a better message.

@XoticMike Taxing equally, without loopholes that allow large corporations to avoid paying close to the same % of their income as the rest of us is all I'm asking. Well, not all I'm asking, but one of the things.

@swr1240 How about Zero taxes and Zero war. Let the people keep their hard earned money.
The presumption here is: Government own your money... you get keep this much. No. It's mine. Not anyone else's.
To completely get rid of the income tax.... the US Federal Government would have to go back to 1997 levels.... OMG the world would end !!
