"Haka" is a Maori war dance that was used before battle to arose the warriors and see if they were fit n ready for battle, its not a polynesian dance/chant! Hawaiians, Tongans, Samoans, and Fijians all have there own chants, with their own distinct actions and meanings, but a haka is for Maori only! If you look at the differences b/w the National rugby teams (e.g. All Blacks, Manu Samoa etc) haka's/chants then youl see the different characteristics b/w the cultures!
