  • Backward primitive scum, beating him to death just because he wants to quit? Tradition my arse...Thats just primitive, there not much better than niggas.

The only good thing that has come from Japan is Judo and Sushi. Everyone else is shit.

  • @HabboTeck ur an idiot judo doesn't even come from japan. now pls fuck off

  • @HabboTeck theres bad a and good in all things and so on and people like to focus on the negative not the positive

  • Will get banned for smoking weed but they will beat you to death if you want to quit .. Wow , Sounds like a sport i have no interest in watching anymore ..

  • Thats the nature of the sport...leave it that way !

  • @ohorok2 what do u mean there are no murders in american there are plenty of murders in america

  • there trainers are fucken idiots should burn in hell the kents

  • @Cmafew GO SUMO..but who cares its just weed, cannabis..Hemp was been part of Asian culture for thousands of years big deal..its not steroids ,or rape charges or hard drugs..LEGALIZE CANNABIS!!!! SUMO should be fun ..

  • @5tonyvvvv

    its legal in india :)

u can come to my country and have as much as u want ur welcome :D

  • I thought it said "He was bitten to death" lol, no wonder they are so big o.O

  • @72Roo67

its good that you know how to use words

    but what have you proven?

(First and last thing I will say about this)

  • Yes, yes.. That couldn't be in AmeriKa, peole of USA live in perfect harmony where is no violence, no muders, ...

  • @ohorok2 there are more murders in america with firearms than everybody else combined (excluding wars and genocides)

  • Lol this is just a funny and not considered a serious sport by most.

  • "it happens in every sport" people don't get beaten to death by trainers in every sport!

  • @dyroy1 you obese ass redneck pussy american.

  • @dyroy1

  • Has anyone else noticed that there is a disturbing, unnecessary, and cruel obsession with persecuting people who smoke marijuana?

Its really stupid. Seriously. As for sports, its not even a performance enhancing

drug. C'mon. This is crazy. It's like an obsession. Marijuana is actually healthy and

helps fight cancer etc...You couldn't come up with one single good reason for why it shouldn't be smoked, eaten, or whatever. It was made illegal in the U.S. to oppress the population that's all!

  • @olympicsnow just don't use the damn 'drugs' and it'll all be fine

  • people die in NFL, K-1, Boxing, Nascar, MLB, all kinds of crazy sports, What's the big deal !?! I've seen Sumo live and for those of you who say they are just fat, bastards, say that to their faces, the average height of one of those guys is 6'4" tall if not taller, and well over 300+ lbs. This is a very old sport here in japan, and it's treated like it was hundreds of years ago,.....

  • In every sport people can turn violent trainers, spectators and so on. Well at least my Karate class is not like that. I treat my students with respect, and we may recieve cuts and bruises but that is to be expected.

  • How do they get so hurt when all you do is push the opponent out the ring

  • @Pepi617 wtf r u talking about? Watch close man and think about the pounds, momentum and force. These fuckers are goin at it big time. Very dangerous

  • im sorry, but they dont look too tough in thongs

  • @youngstags i agree. .i guess you're the one who looks better in pink thongs.

  • macktheknife888 needs to shut up and go back to his MMA meatheads and UFC video games

  • @macktheknife888 shut up coward.

  • @macktheknife888

Um... the girls i know who are japanese don't find sumo very sexy.

(actually it's pretty much the opposite)

Sumo is simply an old fashioned sport and part of japanese culture.

    Not more, not less.

And don't believe all japanese are interested into sumo, or have all the same view/opinion about it.

  • @macktheknife888 haha, I hate things I don't understand too.

  • @macktheknife888 your a moron its tradation and culture

  • @macktheknife888 The sumotori are real athletes. Look at e.g. the shoulders, they're very muscular. They are real athletes. But it takes someone who knows sth. about sports & physique to see the muscle tissue, I guess. And come on, no Japanese or Asian finds them sexy. If you really knew Asians, you'd know this. And from my experience, the British drink way more than the Germans(and Brits always cause for trouble in German or Philippine bars, pubs & clubs when drunk.)

  • @macktheknife888 callate el osico pendejo.

  • banned for weed i can understand even though weed isnt THAT bad.

getting killed for wanting to quit is very harsh. im sure they felt betrayed because this guy was giving up at such a young age but they committed murder.

  • Capitalism is a problem every where

monetize a sport and watch it drown in

corruption. Sumo is ran by a mafia in japan!

  • @cipher10000

I hear ya dude. Yakuza fucked up PRIDE. Hell, the Japanese mafia owns Japan.

  • @cipher10000 if it is, why did asashoryou just leave? that makes no sense

  • @cipher10000 silly american that doesnt know shit.,.....

  • @Fupper16 he beat up a guy in a bar, plus he is sorta an ass to the others so he self retired to keep some honor

  • @cipher10000

its called yakuza not mafia ...

  • @validfor1hour

    I already know that!

    Actually for your education

in japan most call it gokudō

police actually call them the "violence group"

or bōryokudan. While they refer to themselves as being

"ninkyō dantai" or the chivalrous organizations.

  • @cipher10000

    u live n u learn mate

  • @cipher10000 Human depravity is a problem everywhere.

  • Its Japanese culture aint it? Ive seen japanese students get hit closed fisted by their teachers..so imagine a sport which involves contact in Japan like Sumo or Judo...Ouch! Talk about tough love eh..

  • 2:28

    that's uchimata!!!!!!!

  • Umaga is from the USA, and he is of Samoan descent. His Brother is Rikishi.

  • his brother is rikishi?

  • How deplorable. I know it's a very rugged sport, and I've always admired it, but it sounds sadistic even compared with other full contact martial arts/sports. I guess I'll have to look at it with different eyes from now on.

  • i am a scientologist like i am a hole in the head

  • there are good ppl and badd ppl in every field.

it does'nt mean that the sport has a dark side its the ppl who are beatin em not te sport.

  • i ate to see pl wo talk ill of rikishis

i mean tey do look fat but tere are really flexible and have long life!so whats wrong about it!

    GO SUMO!

  • @anirudhkrishnamani GO SUMO..but who cares its just weed, cannabis..Hemp was been part of Asian culture for thousands of years big deal..its not steroids ,or rape charges or hard drugs..LEGALIZE CANNABIS!!!!

  • @anirudhkrishnamani Are you trying to be funny, Or are you just stupid? Cuz I cant understand one word you said..

  • @anirudhkrishnamani long life?

  • put it this way. you live in a village 5000 BC and your homies decide to start practising wrestling. it lasts for years until it's fully ceremonialised and then you drop out and you dissapoint the herd and... YOU SUCK in their eyes. no lifer 4 ever

  • yeah, it's like that in every sport. if you want to quit, they beat you to death?????

  • Didnt you know? Brett Favre got beat every year

  • the best wrestlers are all mongol or samoan anyway

  • your right. for example: look at umaga hes a pretty good wrestler and hes from samoa

  • there are things that are not always that great inlife. every life corner

  • Banned for life just for weed?

Ok sumo is very tradtional so maybe o_o

Hope its not becuase of the american influence, -___________________-

  • you have ti understand the official japanese stance on marijuana to understand that ruling

  • may be get killed by yakuza who bet a lot of money on him and he lost the match. All sport match nowadays controlled by mafia, triad, and yakuza.

  • When you become a samurai you follow tradition pain, and honor. Being a sumo wrestler is tough work, and dont be expecting a hug. Part of the sport is being tough. Most of you can't even put a sentence together.

  • @oros123456 GO SUMO..but who cares its just weed, cannabis..Hemp was been part of Asian culture for thousands of years big deal..its not steroids ,or rape charges or hard drugs..LEGALIZE CANNABIS!!!!

  • I like watermelons. AHA! How's that for a sentence mr. Smart Guy?! Feeling ashamed of yourself?

  • You apparently don't know Japanese history.

  • sumo wrestlers are actually healthy

  • lol

you can take a person that looks big and compare that person to someone who looks small but they can both have the same percentage of fat... learned that from health class.... :)

  • i wonder if you would get beaten to death for quitting health class

  • lmao

  • nah you just dont graduate

  • Yahh, but if the guy is 400 pounds and 10% of fat then its 40 pounds of fat o_o

  • lol

    you dont get it

  • yeah they dont 10% bodyfat, they look like the average american male

  • its just a way of life that they choose.

  • you have no idea how a sumo body is built.

  • so is the heavy price of strength

  • I did have respect for japanese sumo, but now that I know about the brutality of it, murder, it seems very wrong

  • FUCK SUMO!!!!

I have no respect for this sport anymore...

if you have to kill someone to get through to them, What a fucking SHAME!

    SE UFA O LE KOMO!!!

  • it's abuse by people who get off on abuse.the abusers should be shot.

  • murder as a response to protest or not wanting to play anymore?

    not right.

  • A lot of institutions use "tough love" but I'm not sure why people use this as a justification, even if it hadn't resulted his death.

  • The game is really rough on those athletes, rougher than in a lot of other sports, but sports are no stranger to violence and extreme training.

I think it's harder for people to see this as a problem with the sport's culture itself, people will look at this as an isolated incident and move on because they love the game so much.

Sounds like it's in definite need of reform, though, and many of the media outlets there bear some of the responsibility for that, if this is true.
