once again the info is a little wrong.......if you have a 510 remove the stupid round plate half way down the filter,,,,lose the stupid filter , get some face cleaner foam or aquiam filter.....cut it into a filter , buy cheap juice , and forget about these sponsered idiots, email me if you need free , unbiosed advise .

and on top of you trying to kill yourself you only saved roughly 15 bucks and no its not 5 volts usb does not provide 5 volts you should have gotten a multi volt power supply from radio shack and wired that into the 410 charger output then you could have selected 3 5 or 6 volts

Um, your an idiot. Lethal shock damage is between 100 to 200 mA. After 200 mA the body clamps down all muscles which protects against ventricular fibrillation. Below 100 mA and you can have problems breathing and get a nasty burn, but its not considered lethal. 100 to 200 is the range that the heart uses for its muscle control. And it DOES NOT STOP the heart, it causes the muscles to flex erratically. Before you make your self look like a idiot, you really should stop and think.

video like this is priceless . i doubt it would fry your atty in that refrence no it doesnt matter if you switch the black and red wires. but when you are cutting the ground off to the atty it is still getting positive current so then let your lips touch your cart which is filled with fluid which is touching an ungrounded atty then let your foot touch a grounded surface such as basement floor and wamo your dead

one last comment i remembered. in DC systems ground should be on the frame and the hot wire (RED) should be on the switch. Correct me if im wrong why the ground should be on a switch. the unground switch?????

See, this is why I need someone with electrical experience around. Should it make much difference with it wired the way I have it? I need to sit down and redo the wiring anyways. (didn't have anything to take the tension off the cable and it pulled the wires out of the solder on the switch). Should take the opportunity to clean it up some.

I can almost guarantee that it was beginners luck. I came very close to frying an atty. There was a short and It got stuck on for a minute. Melted the crap out of a cart. Took two or three cleanings to get the taste out of the atty. Lessons learned: Do not leave untested experiments unattended...

Spent some time on the forums to find out about the switches. However: SPDT, DPDT DPST? No clue what this means. (Same with NO NC????) If you care to elaborate, I'd be more than happy to try an answer. Keep in mind, I am a layman and really didn't know for sure what I was doing here.

Pretty much. When you cut it open, there will be 4 wires. Process of elimination to figure out which is which.

Thanks for the up, I was wanting to build a USB passthrough. I don't have the money to cut open USB cords like that. When you cut the USB cord open. you just find the + & - and solder them up as shown?
